Palm’s priority doesn’t care about your options, Dive Kick’s hitbox doesn’t care about your options, and throw is giving you the stink eye in case you decide to try that blocking thing.
Woah, that’s scary. I just tallied up mine and it’s deadly accurate. 160 on the dot.
Reversal Ducking evades every demon flip option there is. This leaves you to deal with the O/S
2 out of 3 options leave you in a position to punish Akuma worse than he can hurt you if you guess wrong.
Akuma is a tough matchup but you are just as dangerous if not more so in this match.
His three major pokes to keep you out/start his mixup.
- Cr hk
- Cr mk
3.St hk
None are perfect. 1 can be punished with lp mgb if not spaced right.
2 can be punished on reaction with hp and sometimes hk/cr mk.
3 if not space right can leave him open for punishment if the second hit whiffs.
This is one of the few match ups where you don’t have to get in to win with Dudley
This is true to a point, however very interesting. If they do demon flip without getting an untechable knockdown, this strategy works, thumbs up great find, it’s rape time.
If they do the demon flip from an untechable knockdown position the rules change a little.
[]Beats the kick every time.
[]If they do the demon flip asap right after the knockdown and palm, you will duck, not get hit, but will still be in front of them. Otherwise you get behind him and it’s rape time.

If they do the throw asap right after the knockdown You will get thrown out of your reversal duck. Otherwise you get behind him and it’s rape time.
I would asume the times that I do it it’s rape time. I’ve never been caught by an OS and have almost always been at advantage.
If an Akuma is aware of it, then he’ll have to alter his normal timing, if they’re not aware of it, well you just shut down his demon flip game.
This is way more accurate for dudley imo, the only ones i would change tho is make rufus a 5/5, and probably make rog a 5/5.
Akuma’s demon flip set ups after a forward throw are all after 2 dashes or 1 dash and a cr.MP
You can reversal duck out of EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. You will also evade cross up tatsu and jump RH. It is the OS that will catch you, and that is where guess work comes into play. If he guesses right and you guess wrong then you will eat an SRK or a HK tatsu, maybe a demon or a far HK. If you guess right he eats an Ultra or EX Jet Upper guaranteed.
Go in training mode, test it out for yourself
Perhaps this is where the info get’s strewed: when I said untechable knockdown, I was referring to a sweep. Perhaps I should have been clearer. I would urge you to try it from sweep as well.
Agreed.
I just played 8 hours at a session against the akuma player WestAB. Logan, that shit does not work against anything.
-East on a friend’s profile.
Duck has no physical attack invincibility. Meaty Dive kicks, palms, grabs and slides beat any reversal Duck attempts.
The only time reversal Duck can be an option is when the Akuma attempts an anti DP reversal dive kick.
omg did any 1 catch marn vs dieminions guile last night at sb? that was godlike!
Round 1 Shades Counter Victory Rose
Round 2 Rose Taunt “…Down for the Count”
i was at the venue and i missed it =/
Dudz is great with a parry system (3rd strike) but without that…and no footsies…and with a game that has FADC-able moves that allow for easy escape out of mixup pressure with the loss of just 2 EX bars (0 if the reversal actually connects) then Dudz is pretty lack luster. When you also concider his BnB range from simple (cr. jab, st. jab, st.rh > w/e) to ridiculously difficult (st. jab, target combo, st.jab, st.RH > w/e) and f.RH > st. RH (or even jabs into st. RH) then there is no wonder why he is so low.
If your execution is IMMACULATE then Dudz is higher on that tier list, but having such execution timing is difficult online, and the majority of us don’t compete in offline tournies.
If you look at Marn and LiquidKO, just 2 notable Dudley players, you will see how effective Dudley is (with amazing execution) but you will also see his limitations.
I do believe he is getting a buff come the arcade release though? I could be wrong though.
Winning with Dudley, hell anyone, is not that much about execution. It’s about spacing, reading your opponents, and looking for that opportunity to get in and get some damage. The majority of issues I see with most Dudley players is that they can land their combos but have no idea how to properly get their damage when jumping and poorly spaced MGB’s don’t work.
Go into training mode and record Akuma’s double dash demon flip set ups after a FWD throw. Then record his walk back demon flip set up after a sweep. Then do a reversal ducking. Tell me what happens.
