It seems that Dudley keeps declining on the tier list.
His matchups that are 4-6 against him are like 80% of the cast now.
They even gave him a 3-7 matchup… and only has like 3 6-4 matchups.
It seems as the game is being figured out, and people are starting to know how to fight dudley he is becoming a worst and worst character with no advantages towards dudley.
His Ranking didn’t move at all from the last one and he has no 3-7 match-up, look at the list again. The only thing that changed is a couple of even match-ups became unfavorable and a couple of unfavorable match-ups became even. I could have told you after a couple of weeks that a character with no easy cross-up, unfavorable fadc, no fireball and no footsies was going to be near the bottom. At least he hits like a truck and is very fun to play as.
Does Japan even have enough Dudley players to determine this?
Blanka should be 6-4 for Dudley
Cody should be 5-5
Adon 4-6? How?
Gief and T. Hawk should be 5-5. SPDs on Dudley don’t hurt as much as he can when guess right on their wakeup.
Cody has the edge over dudley, both characters are high damage but cody footsies are just better, he has a lot of ways to break focus, unpunishable projectile even with ultra 1 (fake stone) non-ex bingo is very hard to deal with dudley at mid range and the most important part of the matchup : the knife.
That tier list is meh at best. Dudley has a sub par footsie game, no zoning projectile and no real safe block string that helps him keep the momentum his way.

Blanka Dudley might be 5-5. He can punish standing fierce and step straight with Ultra 1 easy and his normals are annoying as hell. Good Blankas aren’t gonna ball all day.
Agreed…I also agree that Dudley is 4-6 T.Hawk. His footsies are almost equal to Zangief’s but deal much more damage… The gimmicky kind of Blanka’s are the trickiest to fight…they’re so fucking annoying too: 5-5 matchup
Why is Dudley a 5-5 with Seth? It should be 6-4 Seth. He can keep you away just a little less than Dhalsim but has less health. Plus he’s much faster, has a pretty fucking incredible broken vortex…Seth is a bitch but I think Dudley really loses to this matchup f you play a really aggressive yet smart Seth. Same with Akuma…low health but can zone so well and his vortex can really fuck you up, that’s if you can’t block or tech. But yeah 6-4 or 7-3 Akuma…don’t flame me.
Balrog Dudley is 6-4…Balrog can really keep you out with his superior footsies, but Dudley destroys Balrog on Wake-up with no meter and st.fp is gdlk on Balrog and is whored out rush punches. I see this okay, but I see Balrog winning more than Dudley…
Akuma Dudley is 5-5, maybe even in Dudley’s favor. Unlike Ryu and Ken, Dudley’s standing fierce beat’s Akuma’s crouching forward. The second hit of Akuma’s standing roundhouse also whiffs when you crouch, so you get a free cr. jab > st. Roundhouse xx whatever. Then you can antiair/duck out of a lot of his vortex pressure on reaction. Not to mention you can punish his teleport for huge damage. I usually feel that when I lose this match it’s because I’ve done something wrong.
Balrog Dudley is a pain in the ass but it’s not that one sided. The only thing I really think Balrog has going for him in this matchup is his armor dash punches, which makes it dangerous to guess on his wake up when he has meter. I want to say 4.5 5.5 Rog’s favor.
Abel is just straight up 6-4. Not sure about Seth. I want to say 5-5 but I haven’t played enough against a good Seth to really form an opinion yet. I’d love to hear what other players think about Dudley’s other matchups.
I played a couple of good Seths, and OnlineTony213’s Seth as well. I did pretty well, but when he kept me away, there’s almost nothing I can do, his mixups are too good too. Also, what’s the best thing to do to evade Akuma’s demon air grab? I always get caught by it 3 or 4 times in a match or maybe 5…that’s what I lose to a lot, I can punish whiffed st.hk, and his demon flips as well with anti air or jet upper, but his air grabs are annoying and i try to duck, and I get caught, or i try to EX Jet Upper, but it leaves me open, yet Akuma’s recover on that air grab isn’t too good either.
Dudley-Ryu is 5-5 but akuma im sure its a 6-4 to say the least. Unpunishable sweep if he has ultra, low forward, good zoning and dudley cant do anything on wakeup besides blocking or taking very very high risks.
