Easy to say when you play an already godlike character that was buffed. I’m not even complaining, because Akuma is still great. His changes were like, some of the only ones that were just absolutely meaningless. Characters he destroys still have very slim chances against him and he is still strong in the hands of strong players. DF palm isn’t good because it is an overhead. It is good because if you do absolutely anything you get demon’d or hit. His new demon flip fireball thing is thunderbolt-level useless.
I was just expecting something new or cool, like all of these other characters getting cool ass new combos and shit, stuff being easier etc.
Also, I can’t believe new Viper… That fucking character is so cheap.

Im not sure how new viper is cheap… Sure the ex bk stuff is easy as hell but personally I dont think it’s worth the meter and damage scaling. I mean the stun is great, and might justify the meter if you have it. I just think it’s stupid being able to do the same move 3 times in a row just because you’re in the corner…
Whenever you come up, we’ll grind out a ton of matches. I need Strider experience, and you need Hulk/Dorm experience.

They redid his sprite completely. EX Iori and EX Kyo are same sprite with minor alterations and changed movelist. Quite a few people already have him, which you’ll see if you play online. But this is the only video I could find real quick.

I take what I said back about making progress in KoF. I feel like I’m just sitting there blocking because I don’t know when to hit buttons and I’m scared if I stick something out it’s just gonna get hopped and ate up. I really gotta find a third. Jason suggested Mai or Yuri. I’ll give them both a try. I really wanna keep Terry in on my team and Shen at anchor. What do you guys think about either Mai or Yuri on point?

Have no fear mane. But at the same time, know when you don’t have to do anything. I had to learn this. Still becoming accustomed to it. If you’re fighting “happy-hoppers”, jab them out of that shit before they can start blowing you up. All the things that your character can do and combos is probably what’s on your mind most when you should just play a spacing and footsie game akin to what you guys do in SF. If you got people eating you up then you probably should just slow it down. Also, if there’s a chara you like, stick with them and play them. Because you gotta get the exp and ball rolling. Repeated chara flipping right now is just gonna fuck you up more. Last week you were on Kula. Play that bitch. Any position. She’s cheap no matter when, where, how. If you want Shen at anchor, and Terry as middleman, put Kula on point. You can’t go wrong. Play with her until you’re winning. Or taking out 1.5-2 characters with her. Just keep playing even if you get OCV’ed. That’s a good ass squad right there though. Doesn’t get more legit than that. Or easy. Slow it down though, and just find out what works.
You’ll prob need $5 for Mr. Karate, as that’s how much Flame was. I don’t know how many Xbox points that is.
Lol nah, I’m talking about the SPRITE ITSELF has minor alterations, like the tied up pants. No, flame and Claw are very different characters. I’ve had my fair share of fighting both. And they both fucking hurt alot. Claw is probably more “safe” from a standpoint, but Flame has everything. He’s a powerhouse.
Apparently a vote was taken before the tournament to put it on HDR Mode instead of classic mode. It’s not like original ST was not made available since it is in every version of HDR…I wasn’t there for this but this is specifically what I was told.
And in order to seed players in games you don’t know about; find out from the top players. That is what I do, I get a couple of people that play the game and ask them. You know, instead of taking responsibility it sure sounds like you are trying to sway away the notion of this…no one is trying to be difficult but I am sure a few questions will get you info about the top players who have played in tournaments. I don’t know crap about MVC, but I know Astaroth, Patrick, ShinBlade, Orpheus, and Raekwon have won or gotten top 3 in many tournaments in the area…and considering I am a hermit it’s pretty bad if I know that.
I mean, this is all besides the point, seeding was one problem, but the brackets had numerous people left off in multiple tournaments…including Raekwon in KOF, a game he may have won. Again, I was not there, but this stuff has to be addressed because in order for people to want to “come back” to an area for tournaments things have to be taken into consideration for all parties to move forward and actually the venue/people running take responsibility and actually try and do a better job the next time around. We’re all human, we all make mistakes but everyone takes days off and drives out far for these things and there are only so many tournaments to go to…
