A few other none-‘gimme new games’ suggestions:
Have the ability to record in game, such as FBA’s built in .fr files, and the ability to point the plugin to those replays. GGPO has the .ggpotv files, but those are all server based, and there just isnt a need for it to be server based. The ability to record a .fr file, host it on my server, and setup a clickable link for someone with your plugin to click so it brings up the playback would kick ass.

Setup the ability for the person to choose the prediction/rollback method used.

Just downloaded it but haven’t had a chance to test it out yet since it’s 4.30 am and no one is on but I’ll be trying it out tomorrow.

one more thing man, please use Version 2 of xmen vs sf. Version 3 was the most hated version by far with all the attempted fixes. Version 2 (961004)

Is it whichever one has the zip name “kof2000.zip” (the default parent set). It’s probably the one without any extra text.

ran into an issue after playing DandyJ in both Real Bout Special and Real Bout 2 - the client wouldn’t let us leave the room after we left the game. It thought the game was still running and I think we got moved to the Available list eventually, but wouldn’t let us leave the room so I had to close the client. Strangely I didn’t have this problem on the first game I tested, which was ST.

This is certainly an interesting alternative, I still prefer GGPO but this would be nice if it can get more people playing games like World Heroes Perfect and Fighter’s History Dynamite (which, as Nydrin said, doesn’t work right now for some reason)

Hmm, I will be looking into this when I wake up tomorrow but I have a few suggestions and game requests.

suggestions:I feel that it will be better to take all the games that are on the GGPO public server off, as to not step on their toes. Also, have you and ponder had any dialog between this and GGPO?

game requests:
One of the CPS1 SFIIs. I personally would perfer CE but since i’m like 10 out of the many people that would play SFII on this I think HF would be a better choice.

X-men: Children of the Atom - There are a few people (including myself) that would love to see this on there.

The Punisher - Not a fighting game I know but its a fun 2 player beat em up that I think some people on here might enjoy.

Breakers Revenge - Fun game.

KOF 95 and Samurai Shodown 1 - Just personal preference, throwing it out there to see who would play.

I have to say, I was (to put it lightly) very skeptical that this would deliver even close to the experience of GGPO. I played a dude who I usually ping ~270 to and while this is inferior to the manually scalable delay of the test client, it may be up to par (or superior) to the public release GGPO client. I encountered a bug with the sound becoming extremely distorted in one ST session but other than that it was near flawless (or at least, as good as it can be). There was a little bit of annoying rollback and I’d appreciate a way to scale the delay manually. At the very least, a display of exactly how much delay there is.

I don’t like the whole web browser one-click thing, it may be convenient for some people but it feels like it was made for dummies. Having 3p/3k locked to certain keys makes it a little troublesome to play on keyboard, which a lot of people will be doing. I don’t use F and V but they’re right next to WASD ~_~

Seriously though this was a very pleasant surprise, great job.

Edit: Never mind about the keys, they’re mappable. I didn’t notice. However its a little annoying not to have A+B and C+D for WHP. Not having much success with pushing two buttons like that on a KB. Could make an FBA macro for them if there was an install folder.

Completely disappointed it’s not open source. If you release the server source, you can continue to run an “official server” and achieve a sort of central framework whilst allowing those of us who don’t wish to get involved in such to play our own way.

Not only that, with a system such as this, allowing players to host their own servers (ala Kaillera) with a server browser is centralization enough.

No one should be “controlling” which games are played, which users can play, so on. Not in a scene like this.

Consider me unsupportive until source is open.

Fighter’s Historty Dynamite aka Karnov’s Revenge!!!

Um…Damdai would I be able to run the emujlator on my Dell Latitude C600/C500 (dont laugh)?

CPS3 games (JoJo, 3S) are crashing on launch for me. I have the correct roms, as soon as the client loads it immediately crashes with no message/warning.

Edit: Crashed with 2 people. Also sorry Zerve my internets failed.

I’m very interested in seeing how this turns out. However, there’s like two people online at the moment. And the one person that I have seen, I can’t see his ping. Lastly, the change password button (from the activation email) seems to not work. Any ideas?

Edit: Never mind, I had to be logged into the forums to change the password.

I’ve only tried 3s, and it crashes as well. ST works fine though.
