I know I am late seeing you guys talk about games with “moves” but isn’t Tekken something where you have to really know the game well because each player has a gazillion moves? I’ve dabbled with Zafina for awhile and I still forget her stuff. Never have I played a game where I forget moves with each character before except Tekken 6.

Yea but in Tekken there are top or most used moves. But you already know the amount of research and knowledge required lol. One other nice strategy is finding ways to put together the barely used moves. But there’s just some shit in the command list that you should prob never do high-level lmao. In the CAF game, you would literally have to be able to recall how to punish EVERY move ON THE FLY, whereas it’s already been stated that in Tekken or hell, any other game, you know from the VS screen what set of moves to look out for, and so at least you have preparation. It’d be a fun project, but nothing I’d take seriously.If I bet money, I’d probably get to fighting in real life over a game like that. Play Bishop in MK Armageddon with one of his fucktard characters. It makes you want to push him down stairs.
P.S. I still forget characters’ moves. Not how to do them or how they’re used, but just that they have them at all. Then I’ll recall after a few matches. In 6, every character “pretty much” has everything they need, and some characters are stacked, so alot of stuff is just overkill anyway.
Even with the 3 stances, Zaf doesn’t have a ton of stuff. I used to become a bit overwhelmed in placing stuff and transitioning in/out and between stances. Thinking there was shit I HAD to find a way to use. But now since I’ve started playng her seriously you just realize that you can’t abuse stuff and going into those stances openly against certain characters is death. Only a few of that stuff is truly deceptive or a real mixup against someone who knows how to punish her. I only really play Rell these days so I got a good idea of what to use and when. Then I realized that she’s pretty standard. You got your standard punishers, no questions asked everytime, unless you in a particular stance. Standard combos for most efficient dmg unless you’re going for wall or reset/relaunch.
I think most people saw her as worst character in game because of how they were trying to play her. As a stance monster out of the gate. Even Clint thought he could run her at FR because of unfamiliarity and get some sneak wins. But it’s like nah, because she isn’t spectacular and gets punished hard. Cornball style until you open them up and then you can take risks, and transition into stances from moves during rushdown, then go into mixups. Never open ground in someone’s face because as soon as they recognize you’re going into stance they can murder you before you can even recover from transition to react. This is one of the things they gave her in TTT2, faster transitions. And she’s supposed to be A+ class in that game lol. But early Tek tiers go to shit really quick, so I’m feeling this wont be the case, and no one really likes her that much to try to whore her just because. But I’m running Ganny/Zaf in TTT2. Point blank. As I’ve already seen some hot unorthodox shit that I can put together. It’s going to be one of the weirdest teams in the game.
