Heritage by Opeth, bought the cd/dvd then for some reason just felt like buying the vinyl. Saw Pretty Hate Machine right next to it, that might be my next one lol. Now to get something to play it on… I think I did this backwards.

So I watched the UMvC3 stream a few things:
1.Vergil is sooooooooooooooo good! Amazing mix up potential especially like’d his round harvest teleport mix up.
2.Cap America is the truth otg shield slash really opens his game up
3.Nem gorilla hyper simply does not give a fuck he aint even mad.
4.Doc Strange got more books than a library.
5.Dorm is looking really good I will be playing him again.(Not that he was ever bad, but I think he def leveled up)
6.Wesker can def still otg after air throw to combo idk why people kept saying he couldn’t but I saw it several times.
7.Lastly really liking Hawkeye will be on one my teams fo sho.

Hey everyone, new to the scene chun player.

What’s up? You in Memphis or Nashville?

Also:

GGs Jason. That was a good session.

I’ll have to double check my schedule man. If I don’t get off till 5:30 then probably not. I’m down for meeting up though. I got some other friends that are coming as well.

Also I own two vinyls (Chromeo’s “Business Casual” and Das Racist’s “Relax”) and 0 record players, lol.

I haven’t played the “Souls” games, but I trust Shawn’s gaming theory with zero prejudice.Y’all should prolly get at it.

that drake sword freaking beastly. And I am relieved that I didnt use the fire soul, I almost did before looking it up online. The description is pretty misleading.

Random post of randomness.

I’m waiting on the next big change in fighting games. Major character customization (namely moves, properties, aesthetics, etc.) would be a nice start. People creating their own character from the ground up would be exciting to see. Balance, of course, is the main issue, but I believe there could be measures taken to ensure fair gameplay. This is kind of what they’re shooting for in SFxT’s gem mode. The gems are said to alter moves, timing of combos, etc., and I’m assuming this is a rough test to see how it works out.

That kind of thing sounds fun but like you said balance would be an issue. I mean I could see something where they give you a pool of like 100 special moves that all have a point value or something and you have a point cap. Hopefully this would limit some stuff cause otherwise you would like have like Viper with Yun’s dive kick, and an actual DP or some shit.

This would be dumb. So how do you go in knowing the matchups? You don’t even know what moves your opponent has… Either that or eventually everyone would end up using the same moves and all characters would play the same and just look different.

I guess what it will boil down to is learning how to deal with all the moves and you’ll be fighting the players instead of the characters. If everyone ends up with the same moves then ultimately it will end up being more balanced then “I can’t do anything because I don’t have a move like that.” Sounds good to me.

How can you have any sort of strategy if you don’t know about the character? You don’t know if they have a DP or a command throw or any reversal at all? You don’t know if they have a 3 frame (or whatever would be the fastest in the game) move… do they have a kara throw? You know nothing. Either that or you have to study a move list of your opponent before every match. Either way it sounds like an awful idea.
