Pretty sure Chris has read Knightfall. He’s read a bunch of the epic Batman stories.
I’m going to be at GG from 2-6. If anyone wants to kick my ass feel free to come by and try.
Is there a scene at all in Knoxville, haven’t been able to find any arcades besides the one at west town mall and that one doesn’t have any SF cabinets. :\
Come here, Memphis, or go to Johnston city…or ATL
Why doesn’t Linuka play anymore?
I think Linuka is lost in the world of card games right now, like what happened with Scott
Snagged both Dark Souls and Rage today for the price of nothing. Time to do stuff.
LETS GET READY TO VIDEO GAMESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!
Okay so … after testing OS U2 Safe Jump – It does beat everything except DR / HS and teleport (and obviously block). It doesn’t beat teleport because the dust whiffs and Bison recovers from the teleport in time to block the wrench (I had it backwards). So, not so good of an option. Also, safe jump OS’d U2 doesn’t autocorrect on a forward teleport, like in the video from a crouch jab.
OS EX Ruffian, as I thought, is too fast and whiffs, and Bison recovers in time to block a jab or follow up. It also loses to all other options (EX PC, etc) on wakeup except backdash.
OS MK Ruffian, same as earlier, won’t reach Bison, but it does put Cody point blank. So that is a plus. But it, just like EX Ruffian, loses to all other options on wakeup except backdash.
… come to think of it, I haven’t found an OS that really punishes teleport yet (other than OS EX Rocks, which is pretty silly to do in general).
Anyways, just 2c.
Dark Souls doesn’t come out here until the 7th. But, that’s OK because I’m still playing Gears 3 and SF4 and stuff. Also, I am a programming god lately.
Yep, I’m doing it right. I just cleared the tutorial and had 6 deaths.
Jesus christ 6 deaths during the tutorial. Damn
I mean, I’m not a pro (I played the first, I knew what to expect), but christ the first boss seems to have a hurtbox that spans half the room you fight him in, and some of his attacks are quicker than the others. Good to see they finally got rid of the hub from the first one, after the tutorial the game basically turns you loose in a big ass open area and says good luck. All I’m saying, not spoiling.
(Insert gah richard you suck at games i did it flawless go play barney on sega post in the next few below me)
Richard, you suck at games, you never finished the first mission on the PS1 Driver.
lol I’m pretty sure 70% of Americans couldn’t do it back in the day either. Fuck that first mission. Rent it and get it home, and spend the weekend trying to see what the second level looked like.
6 Deaths is actually pretty good. One guy decided to try to kill the tutorial boss barehanded and he finally did it after god knows how many tries. In the end, the encounter needed to kill the boss lasted 3 hours…
Not 3 hours total, 3 hours between the time the fight started to the final hit.
Reminds me of the Yiazmat …
Pretty much. Except the whole game is like that, you die before the boss carrying 12K worth of XP? Too bad corpse run through the whole level to even get a chance to get your body and xp back.
I’m paraphrasing somewhat, but yeah it’s like that. The game punishes you mercilessly. Which is why when you manage to actually beat something, the accomplishment feels awesome.
Look, option selects are cheap. I don’t want to block, that’s fucking lame.
Exactly. I’m a few hours into it, so far, I think I’m over 20 deaths, and I haven’t even made a dent in the first area I went to. You can do areas in any way you want, and sometimes you’ll have to traverse areas to get to new ones. They have a bonfire system in this one to restore life and level up at, meaning there is no home base. You die, you respawn at the last bonfire you camped at. The shitty thing is, I have actually died right before a bonfire room already and had to do a run back. Oh, and for whoever doesn’t know, when you die, you drop all of your souls (money) at your feet, and have to run back to claim them and your bloodstain. The fucked up part about that is, if you die on the way back, you leave a NEW bloodstain. You can only have one bloodstain active. What this means is, your old stain with all of your souls vanishes. If you were sitting on thousands of souls at the time…welp.
Oh, also, when you hit the button to rest at the bonfire, ALL of the enemies in the area respawn at that moment. So if you were smashing the shit out of 5 skeletons outside and barely made in to rest, the second you leave, its 5 skeleton time again. It seems like it might be a cheeser way to make money, but I have found that if I try to fight more than 3 enemies at a time, I almost always die. They hit your shield with shit, knock it away, and you get speared by 2 dudes at once for 85% of your life, in an instant.
TL;DR: This game fucking owns, and if you buy it, all of your wildest dreams will come true! (if you dream about dying a fuckton, that is)
