New MK looks interesting, too early to say how broken it may be, but it looks like a step in the right direction.
If they do bring back Human Smoke…he should look like his MKSM incarnation.

I guarantee 80% of the people posting on how great the game looks, will shit on it on release. Then again, I guess that’s normal. Hype and fail.
Well me being one of the few people that have stuck with MK up until Armageddon (<3 Wii version and it’s balance…but I DO PLAY UMK3 on MAME as well), I have to admit I am very happy with the trailer. I am a MK fan/3d fighting game player @ heart…so me accepting the 2d layout this time around doesn’t bother me. Since that’s what the majority of folks wanted for quite some time. Game looks very nice and I’m digging the updated character models. Shao Kahn looks beast (will main, if not broken), Mileena looks like she’s not wearing much, and Kung Lao sticking with traditional MK2 gear. Fair game, if you ask me.
But what I am a lil concerned about is the Story. And where MKIX plays a part in the series. Love or HATE the MK games…PAST UMK3 lmfao, the MK story has…no IS…one of THE BEST STORIES EVER TOLD IN A FIGHTING GAME! Hopefully no one can deny that. But with the characters advertised in the trailer…this game couldn’t possibly be AFTER Armageddon, can it (lol Raiden…isn’t Dark Raiden anymore :sad:)? Maybe they’re remaking the game from MK1 to UMK3. Maybe this game has something to do with a NEW Shoalin Monks game in the future. I dunno…
But when I think of MKIX, and how things has been this day’n’age (in other fighting games)…I’m thinking of a totally new cast of warriors, new story…or at least the continuation from MKA (What ever happened to Taven and Deagon?)…A TRUE REBIRTH.
I’m not complaining, just throwin some “uncertainties” out there.
As far as gameplay goes…LMFAO…you guys do know that MKvsDC is like the stiffiest/glitchiest MK ever right? Even MKA (and before u make fun of MKA, know that the game was remade on Wii with balance fixes and etc…WAY BETTER THAN THAT ON PS2/XBOX) was a lil more fluient than that horrible peice of dogshit. :lol: Reason I bring that up, is because I’m pretty sure MKIX will have some stuff from MKvsDC. Hell that game was pretty much on a 2d scale with an option to ss/walk with the analog. And yeah the game added some SFish stuff too (like 2in1s IIRC).
I REALLY HOPE MKIX IS NOTHING LIKE MKvcDC!!! Because that would be shitty as fuck IMO.
I do hope the game is as close to UMK3 as possible (because then more people will accept it -_-). But looking at the trailer…that definitely isn’t going to be. So hopefully it’ll be a combination of the best things from UMK3 (looks like character specific fatalities are back :tup:) and MKA (I mean u already saw there was air combos in the trailer in MKIX…and like I said MKA on the WII has been balanced so NO BS AIR INFINITES…also MKA with one main stance and one weapon stance was fine). 
I guess we’ll have to see what happens. I am officially hyped though. :woot: Looking forward to that character roster.
Boon will fuck it up some how. And not fuck it up in a cool way and we end up getting another UMK3. But fuck it up in a way we get the next MK Gold. Or Deception.
I liked Deception. Just not as a fighting game.
