The stream made me go from “looks kinda nice” to insanely hyped. Haven’t been this pumped about MK since MK 2!
Everything looked spot-on. Gameplay, combos, characters, backgrounds… even Boon’s comments we just right.
When they were showing it off on stage they weren’t doing anything but showing off some moves and a few combos. No dashes or anything. You know when this shit comes out there’s gonna be dashes and bodies flying all over the screen. <3 the run button but I don’t think it’s necessary if they can do dash right.
Super MK2 is fine by me. It’s better than everything else they’ve done in the last 15 years.
Gameplay looks interesting.
-It reminds me of MKDC + MK2 with some UMK3 move set.
-The animations looks almost identical to MKDC’s
-Reptiles force balls look like they have really slow start-up, and are slow in general.
-Reptile has his dash from UMK3, so maybe we can see some volleys like we did in UMK3.
-Nightwolf has his hatchetz!
-Scorpion has a pop-up, JP, Teleport, Spear, Combo.
-Sektor and Kung Lao seem to have nice long combo’s.
-The X-RAY thing does 35% damage
-Johnny Cage can combo off of his X-RAY, and it did 44%
-Other characters may can do this as well, but in the stream only Cage did.
-Don’t know if the X-RAY was blockable.
-It looks like KK from MKDC, and an ultra from SF4.
-Gameplay as far as juggling looks pretty “floaty”.

Bad quality and a bit choppy but it reshows so you can get a closer look. I really hope the Super thing speeds up Reptile’s force ball, it barely moved and it barely poped up Sektor.

People were discussing about other ninjas being in the game. Personally, the other one I really want to see in here is Ermac. Maybe Noob Saibot as a hidden. I don’t really care for Rain as a char. H.Smoke–meh, there’s already Scorpion, don’t see why you need two. Don’t care for another Sub-Zero either. Chameleon… LOL. Well whatever, I don’t care if they if those beside Ermac make it or not, just hope they don’t take up space for other non-ninja characters.

Jesus Christ. I never even bothered with Armageddon or MKvDC because I knew they’be shit with them doing the same shit over and over. But this has my attention. I like what I see so far.
Either Ed Boon finally got it through his head, or Warner Bros. should have bought out Midway years ago. Maybe both.

I’ve not seen a single thing yet that I don’t like. Considering that with Deception and Armageddon I constantly saw utter trash and MK vs. DCU I saw promise but with a few nagging problems, the fact that I can say at the end of an E3 that I saw nothing but good in the new MK means everything.
I even like how the super meter works. Everything is mad expensive considering it’s a small bar and has multiple uses. Meter management is going to be huge in this game.
And what’s with the “recovery” message that kept popping up in the video? Is there manual charging in the game? Or was that some kind of ground recovery?

I’m hoping there’s some semblance of balance. I figure the characters who can’t combo into or out of their X-Ray moves should have stronger ones to compensate.
