3d fighters have run without a run button
new Kung Lao fatality from Mortal Kombat (2011):
wow that was real sick (as in gross).
And there has to be a run button. or some run function. the intro basically implied there will be running. Now as long as there’s no run away function, we’ll have us a game.
This is exactly what I want to be seeing from fatalities. Simple, elegant, and absolutely disgusting.
lol yjdk.
from Jeff Gerstmann Twitter (huge fan of the 2D games):
F Fucking YES if it’s old school
Update another tweet from him:
Jack Thompson would die while in the process of shitting a brick

A little description of the gameplay + some cool screen shots. For the first time, MK has a super bar. This will be used for EX moves, combo breakers and the ‘X-Ray’ attack, taking 1, 2 and 3 stocks respectively of a total 3 levels of super meter to execute. The X-Ray attack is what you can see in the trailer showing the impact of your blows and the resulting broken bones.
Shit just got serious!
Edit: Welll at this point after reading that, the character roster is kinda up in the air. :bluu:
Guess we’ll see what happens. I’m still hella hyped!!! :woot:
Gee, I wonder where Boon got the idea for those concepts from
Oh yeah, well Street fighter stole the concept of kicking from Kung Fu.
(wat?)
I’m not sure how I feel about the idea of a Mortal Kombat game with Super meters, let alone combo breakers. The AGGRESSION bar in the past was a complete joke, so I hope this does not turn out to be as bad.
I pretty much just wanted an updated MKII.
And the idea for Super finishers and Ultras came from MK.
C-c-c-c-combo breaker…
Edit well I guess it doesn’t need to be said but Scorpion is confirmed. I’d like to see video of that demo.
That sounds awesome:lol:! Hope Kabal makes it into this game, though I doubt it.
Hmm, this game might not be so bad, although I’m definitely getting Street Fighter vibes over here. Street Fighter is cool and all but I already have that game. I was hoping for Mortal Kombat, but good this time.
Pretty interesting interview with Ed Boon.

Sounds like quarter lobbies are in.
Lmao! @ tim
So the double specials are Ex moves. I was kinda hoping they kept the Pro move feature.
not like mk3. not like mk3…
