the 90 arcades where great cause they existed. we maybe got 2 or 3 arcades in the entire country, thats juts sad.
It’s not like he never won or anything. You’d get a lot of kids that would “sit” on their tokens, and this was just his way of sucking them into games, while offering a reward if they were successful. It just made it interesting to me. It’s like money matches. They’re not actually any different from playing for kicks, but when something’s on the line, people get more interested.
wow man, got thoselinks working:

i bet these the kind of people that enjoy shit like kickass the movie. they look like the cast too.
Wait, is there really a brand new team making this game? And Boon isn’t as hands-on as he was before, but just overseeing things for the most part?
People want this game to be “good”? Wow, that’s asking for trouble.
I just want it to be MK. MK and quality don’t fit in the same sentence. But as long as it’s good trashy fun with classic MK feel and no new innovations that backfire, then I will play this. Halfway decent is the pinnacle, like UMK3 or MK2.
P.S. I hope that short film wasn’t a live-action teaser for the game because I don’t want Baraka Gordo and Inmate Scorpion with the cataracts. Don’t want…
I have never heard someone ever say they wanna see a game stay shitty…until today… >_>
This is how it is:
Some people enjoy things being bad. Why? Because it gives them something to bitch about. People love to bitch and bitch and bitch. I would even say some people are more satisfied bitching than genuinely being happy.
hmm i was looking for some more Stuff on google and found this:
where in the trailer do they mean to see saibot/smoke?
i can clearly say the guy jugged by johnny cage is reptile and juggled by mileena is sub zero in the tag team its sub zero too
They meant a not so bright ninja in costume that isnt recognizable because its brand new
aka Reptile
Wow, I am surprised with how much I disagree with everyone here. Namely about the “want” list for characters but also for the inclusion of the “Run” button again. I HATED the run button! Ha!
I am pretty excited for this game though. Excited enough that I am buying a new console this Friday in anticipation for it!
So does anyone else think the story might take place between 2 and 3? Based on whats been released so far (old characters and old stages) I think its safe to assume that they’re taking the SF4 story route. Then again it’d be alot better if it moved forward and did take place after Armageddon, but please no corny ass bullshit story like that again! Lol. Its really hard to place though. They have the rooftop AND the MK2 stages, but they also have the Shang Tsung stage from MK1 with him in it all old. I think I read somewhere that they promised a darker, better story? I dont see how it gets better than the UMK3/MKT or MKD story but lets hope its just as good as the graphics.
Imo, Deception was closer to the other ones, and they could’ve did something with that (they brought back old characters that had little spotlight, and brought back sweep and uppercuts along with makin it look darker. Music was hot too.) But of course failed =/ Noob-Smoke was also the coolest idea of that whole 3D game phase they had lol.
The combos look great this time around, really wanna see what the Johnny Cage close-up on the attacks is all about (Prays its not Klose Kombat.) I think Sektors jump kick before the second teleport uppercut shows it’ll be alot more like UMK3, so glad to see ppl are jus as amped as I am.
If you don’t want the run button, then I should say that you shouldn’t want to play Mortal Kombat at all. Imo it’s pretty much one of the only unique/interesting mechanics that MK has access to now, and, even if you don’t like it, is one of the only chances this game has for being at least playable.
MK may not have started off with a run button, but the two games preceding UMK3 were utter shit, and, if a 2D MK is to return, it would be stupid if the developers didn’t learn from the accidental successes of UMK3. If there is any justice in the world, by now saying that you don’t want a run button in MK is like saying you hope the next Street Fighter won’t have fireballs. If you don’t want to deal then you shouldn’t be playing that game.
We likely will either get a dash or a run that works nothing like UMK3 run.

Boon said on his twitter not long ago there’s no run button.

This game looks a lot better than the previous ones but the gameplay looks like… shit.
I never understood the whole “aerial rave” combos where you stop in mid air with no momentum and fight.
Have to wait and see I guess.
Cool beans. I hope there is a joystick that comes out, with block in the middle, like the old arcade layout, when this game is finally released. Street Fighter had a six-button controller come out with it’s release, so it’s not out of the realm of possibility.
I like the run button. I hope they can implement a decent dash system. If it’s just walking back and forth I’ll cry.
I’m upset even think about the possibility of not having a Run button. It made the game so much more faster and the block/pressure string so much more dangerous. I really hope they put the run feature back in as opposed to some dash bullshit.
