Damn that’s a lot of changes. So are console players stuck with the outdated version again?
For now at least 
I personally haven’t heard anything on a console release and I have a feeling they won’t port it given the cost and probable lack of return, not to mention the new game they’re working on.
French Bread has said that they have heard the wants for a console port, it’s just that a lot of different issues stand in their way. The main ones being:
a) Type Moon (natch, it’s their franchise, and they likely will want to have their hands involved with marketing)
b) SCEJ (porting a 2D game to the PS3 with what FB admits are “out-dated sprites” is an issue unto itself)
c) Finding an adequate party to help them with porting details (Ecole? Or maybe even “those guys” at ASW?)
d) Online play
These are the things that would need to be addressed, prior to FB being able to do anything relating to porting MB:AACC. Here’s hoping it works out. If nothing else, I could see FB wanting to port the game, because that would possibly do something to make it so their new game won’t be forced to directly compete with its predecessor in arcades.
I already addressed this in September.
They don’t have it planned in their budget, they don’t think it can be approved by necessary parties, and they’re not confident in their own technical capability.

About the next Melty Blood
- Additional Characters.
- 2 screenshots were shown.
- Powerd Ciel added to the game.
- Scheduled for Spring.
- Arcades currently running Current Code will get upgraded free of charge.
- Another character will be revealed around Summer, they can’t say who it is just yet, but they can give a hint.
- Afterwards, they’ll consider Melty Blood HD, but Type-Moon’s side thinks it’s too soon? [Not sure about this one.]

So is that another update? They should considerd releasing this to PSN and XBL, I wanna play some Nero Chaos ;.;
my only gripe is that if they release it on psn and live, the netcode wouldnt be too good
plus, the question is, now that FB is focusing in their own new project, would they give MB the same amount of time and effort as before?, i know that mb was what put them on the market, but who knows now, specially if we consider that they started the new ip to have more freedom and do not have to deal with Type Moon

MBAA (Japanese PS2) will be run.
Well they could let Arc Sys/AKSYS release the game like what was done with Arcana Heart 3. Thing is an English release might be difficult due to who own the license to the Nasuverse series in the US and what not. Still I would gladly get this game day 1.
You still have SCEJ to pass through. Apparently they’re not a fan of 2D, especially blocky sprites.

Also, initial production costs are high for implementing netplay.
^…and yet Dark Awake was released on PSN; Sony have nothing against 2D since there numerous 2D games on PSN, be it JP, EU or US.
Enough of this ignorant BS that Sony doesn’t like 2D.
