@Akiha: 2B has a lot of pushback and doesn’t move you forward so be careful about following up. If you’re unsure, just use 2C. Also I don’t know how gravity plays an effect on the tk.236** combo but you might need more hits before going into it to ensure it’ll be valid. I also suggest learning a basic corner combo sometime. After a ribbon, especially if its CH, you can just dash 2A for a full followup. In terms of combos, I’ve been filling out the C-Akiha wiki on Mizuumi but for starters, I think those are some good points to work on.
I use this corner combo:
2AA or j.2C 6C 4C 2B 2C 5C 5C 2C 5** JC (Air combo)
But I’m horribly inconsistent with landing the second 5C wall bounce because of the height requirement. I didn’t realize 2B pushed back like such; so I need to modify my blockstrings more. I remember Psylocke writing both 4C and 6C move you closer so I guess I need to work those in more.
For blockstrings, 5B, 5C, 4C, all move you forward. 6C moves you forward as well but it’s range is limited and doesn’t make for very good blockstring material. Remember to mix in low moves to beat out those high shields ie 2B or 2C, throws do the same thing too. Try delaying your first 5C more, you should find that the second 5C becomes a lot easier.
I was in practice mode yesterday; I did delay the 5C more and it definitely makes it easier to get the opponent lower for the second bounce and connect the charged 5BB. Now the only problem is getting that lateness consistent and to me, its like a hairs breath away from from dropping it completely. So I guess I just need more practice. On the other hand, learning about 2B helped my blockstrings and I’m finding combination’s that work better now.
Casuals between me and Tanner today.

Is there any specific video you want looked at? 40m of videos is a lot lol
Hmmm.
Lemme edit my last post.
Edit: Okay, labeled them. Since you gave some advice on my Akiha the other day, I figured you’d want to see those (first and third); the rest are just for anyone interested, as I’m playing four characters (just tried out my C-SAkiha today).
C-SAkiha is a strange character. On one hand, she is somewhat similar to C-Akiha in the movelist, but they perform slightly differently. For the most part, her 236 is not to my liking as of yet as you can’t combo off it, but because of its longer reach its different and better in some ways for zoning. However, it doesn’t “curve” so people can go over or under it easier. Another thing is the pits. They’re cool in that the B and C versions track the opponent and move but most of the time people will not sit still long enough to take advantage of that. Its different for corner oki as well. On the other hand I like her anti-air, its a lot better than regular Akiha IMO, and the command grab is nice if you can find nice pressure. Also her standard bnb does 4K on Sion which is nice.
What I don’t like is her 2A is kinda crappy and you can’t repeat it (unless you’re in the air). So her pressure is strange. Her towers are air-unblockable, but very unsafe; if you mistime them your ass is grass. So dunno what to think overall yet. Will continue to practice with her.
I have to give any Full moon satsuki player credit for maining such a difficult character. I can not get the feel for this character at all. Its very disappointing since she is my favorite character. ( and I hate transitioning moon style since I’m too comfortable in Full moon)
Best of luck to sacchin fan because this one can not tolerate her full moon style anymore.
Edit:
And good luck in major competition with counter pick whores for satsuki worst opponent will be warakia/wallachia players.(though any rusher who out range her will be trouble, and practically 60% of the cast do)
Hey guys, just testing out my $15 webcam. Threw together a F-S.Akiha tutorial for newcomers. I may have forgotten a lot since I was trying to see how my webcam would work and I was trying to make up content as I was recording, so if you have any suggestions for future ones, I’d like to hear it.

I’m having trouble hitting 2C 5C 3C with V Sion after her second overhead bounce (6C). Right now I’m just jumping straight up after the second 6C into an air combo (as you can see in TR’s videos). Is there some weird timing to this?
This is the full combo 5A 5B 2B 5C 2A 5A 6AAC 6C 2C 5C 3C j.BC xx j.BC airdash C airthrow
I’m having trouble with the bold part so I just skip it.
Time the 2C to hit right when the opponent’s body is a little bit above the ground. The active hitbox on her 2C is much larger vertically than you think.
that’s my problem… i didn’t realize her 2c hit box went that high so i was whiffing on my opponents when they were too low.

Made this for everyone still rocking the MB for EVO avatars.

Finally made the switch from AC to AA… and it’s pretty overwhelming, lol. After getting BnB’s down to muscle memory, it’s going to be weird learning new ones, and with the three grooves for everyone I don’t know who I’m going to end up maining. I played a lot of Hisui, Kohaku, and Kouma on the older one. Been reading up on the wiki and it looks like there’s good variety with the different moon types for each character. I might just start with scratch with someone new on this one. How is Yumizuka on this one? I was always kinda curious about her on AC, but never really got that great with her.
When I made my switch to AA i remember being overwhelmed as well. Took me some time to get used to the new physics (chars fall faster) and the slightly diff combos. And there were just so many styles to choose from that you were bound to find something you would like about any char on the roster.
If you’re starting from scratch, you got to think what moon you want to specialize in. Half - rushdown. Crescent - balanced, more control of the meter. Full - more ‘traditional’ ala SF. I found myself using Half or crescent. Still can’t get used to Full.
Not really too sure about Sacchin, but I think F is her best moon based from what I’ve seen.
Wow, I guess I’m in the minority thinking that the switch to AA was relatively painless.
I didn’t feel very uncomfortable at all making the switch to AA. Then again, I play Almost all C-Moon characters and their versions function pretty much like AC so that may be very well be it.
Going from AC to AA was pretty much like starting from scratch for me.
I play Kohaku and Sion.
I found H-Sion waaaaay too fun to go back to playing C-Sion.
As for Kohaku, I wasn’t feeling C-Koha. And I don’t have the execution to play her well anyway. I don’t like H-Koha because I don’t like the way she plays. Ended up picking F-Koha.
You might be starting out too fast heath. I just stuck with one character for a while and learned just that character’s combos (although admitted i play v sion who is considered easy). Keep up the practice and you’ll be ready for next weekend
Switching from AC to AA for me wasn’t even an afterthought.
I played White Len in AC.
Switching versions was a problem? That’s news to me.
It’s pretty much still MB.
