I need to try H-Len. C-Len just seems awful and F-Len has a severe lack of cats which is certainly not fine.
Why is she awful? She looked freaking amazing in that vid – I didn’t see any glaring weaknesses at all!
The reason you didn’t see any glaring weaknesses was because Rakuchan was in the zone. Len has overall low damage output and she can only put out one black cat, not two like she was able to in MBAC. Also, the black cat has increased recovery, and she has lost her reliable 3-way okizeme midscreen due to the recovery.
H-Len is like C-Len except with better zoning. However, H-Len has high-execution combos for low damage. So many people will tell you to just pick F-Len. Long story short, abuse the 214 series, since combos off reflector do great damage without meter.
Her normals are also very weak and don’t compliment her ass movement. She use to be able to dominate the air despite dropping like a rock but her air attacks have been nerfed pretty bad giving her a weak neutral game esp to power houses like H-Vsion and C-Mech.
In that match she could’ve possibly won if Rakuchan didn’t eat (hurr) F-Neros overheads and properly baited his reversals. Also took to the air too much and nero (especially F) loves you being above him. Guardbreak city.
Okay, I think we’re playing this game for two completely different reasons here.
that training mode special was awesome.
learned a ton.

Damn, the streamin’ dont stop!!! :looney:
EDIT: This is actually a ROUND ROBIN EVENT
I know nobody plays them seriously, but one of the Neko/Mech moons has a funny trick with one of their supers. It’s that one where Mech fires neko like a rocket. If the opponent blocks it, Mech can dash and keep the hits coming to deal some very decent chip/guard damage providing she’s got her back to a corner. During this, she’s also in a good position to bait and punish shield bunkers.
Will you be covering blockstrings as well as combos? Because I think that would be pretty cool. Melty BLood blockstrings are just as fun to watch as combos.
Someone posted a MB tutorial for players coming from a Street Fighter background, does anyone have the link for that? I tried looking through this thread and on Melty Bread but I can’t seem to find it.
Also for those of you who do the stream, I don’t know if you have covered it or not, but one thing you could perhaps talk about is movement and positioning before the match starts. It’s kind of a vague topic but I was thinking about it recently and it is a subject that never seems to be discussed on forums despite being so important to the initial match momentum.
We’re trying to get an Indianapolis group out to Fausty Frostings so I hope to see some of you there barring catastrophic weather conditions.
Air movement and spacing comes with your character, style of play, and your oppostion’s character. It’s what took me the longest to really grasp, and to me, it’s hard to teach to someone else.

i think this is the one you are referring to, i sent a link to mario.
Thanks.
Another random question, if you are doing a blockstring and the opponent gets hit by a move later in the blockstring, are the moves you used previously in the blockstring still unavailable to use for combos or is the combo considered a completely new “string”
Unless there’s some kind of pause you can’t reuse those other normals. So if you did like 5b2b5c2c and they got hit by 2c at the end you still won’t be able to do 5b 2b or 5c in the combo.
The moves that were used prior to hit are still unavailable. That is, if you did not reset your blockstring in general.
you can delay normals pretty long and still have them chain together and count for your singular use of a normal. in order to reset this you would need to have the normals link(kinda) instead of cancel and unless the move you were using had tons of frame advantage your block-string will probably have a hole. if you train your opponent right you could probably still do this kindov thing i guess, but you will probubly be too far away for alot of moves to hit at that point and have better options without needing to do this kind of thing.
Hello, I made this SRK account primarily for Tech Talk, but I have been watching Meltybread and playing MB for a long time now. But since I’m lazy in making an account I’ll ask here.
Are there new information about MBAA loctest? Or was December 26 a bogus date on loctest?
It was actually the weekend before the 26th (19-20th) but no real info other than all the characters that were on console will be on this version in arcades.
Around 8pm EST we’re gonna start streaming. There’s gonna be other stuff but sometime during the stream, me and the host of game nights here are gonna do a ft5 in Melty. Should be fun to watch lol
Plus you might get to see me demonstrate how much of a scrub you can be in every game I play :wonder:
