2AAAAA being the end all of wake up options doesn’t cut it anymore in this game Tiggy. Outside of the options that were available in MBAC (timing your meaty properly, iad’ing over it, shielding, etc) the ‘super armor bs’ is there to discourage such behavior. Everyone in the game has a normal or two (or three or four even) that have properties to smash that type of shit. Whoever you’re playing, get into training and put the dummy on crouch and recovery 2A. Knock them down, and then, one by one, test out all your normals / command normals / specials to see what will beat their 2A. You know the normal has super armor because your character will flash white and the game will pause for the smallest moment when your attack overpowers theirs. You can do this with all instances, put them on all guard and recovery A and run in with a block string, then when the string is done the dummy will 5A / 2A in response. Go to town with training.
Just realize that 2A 5A 2B whatever will still be an option when someone is getting too greedy with their rush down.
