also, and please, nobody panic, i believe i may have a machine running CS right now… just saying. it’s hot. the probability of me being able to take this machine anywhere… not so much, but i’ve got my hrap3 working with it, even got the diagonals figured out. seriously, guys, gonna be a hot summer. also, rich, how’d you do last night? i think i saw one match of yours but i got tired and went to bed at like 1.
I had a few friends with me so I decided to leave before the tournament ended. I lost to CP and GabeOng but I wasn’t really “all there” for the tournament. I just lost all desire to play the game for some reason. Gonna take a break… but I should make it to the tournament coming up in Kittery, ME.

Seems a lot of us are getting burnt out from going too hard in the early running. There have been a lot of tournaments for a game only having been out less than two months. I think a lot of variety for the next few weeks will be a welcome change. So CvS2 will be in affect this Tuesday and of course some BB. Can’t wait for Melty!
i welcome the variety. also, now that i just played some CS yesterday… oh man. cannot wait to just sink my teeth into that game. should be fun to learn some meltiness too.
on another note, this tuesday is my last saltmines for a while, unfortunately. Got the Never’s Band gigs on tuesday nights starting. I can still make the 5 dragons nights and, obvi, i’ll be online. So i’ll miss from june 22nd until i can return on july 27th (you know, the fateful day for when CS drops).
Was this in NY or was there a local tourny cause I did not know 
As for Lawtowns statment, its a fusterating process im gong through but im plugging away…and feel free anyoen when were playing to say what needs to be said, as I welcome it…

Awesome!! can’t wait for it. The other parts I ordered should be here same time too it looks like. Just letting everyone know that at 9pm we will be putting the Celts game on, because it’s a potential championship game. So get here on the earlier side if you want to get your rounds in. I take it we will have another setup going anyway so no big deal. Reminder to bring your food as well (I am on a diet, but will order something healthy) so not a huge deal either. I still haven’t ordered my arcana stick!!

GG last night all. in light of the last two weeks it seems like there are a lot of “RL” things popping up more frequently in peoples lives and as a result attendance has been effected. So two things I was thinking about this morning were:

Not having Mines unless there is a confirmed and specified amount of people. It isn’t worth my time or anyone else who shows up if there are only going to be 3 people coming. I am sure we have friends of friends etc who play or are interested in learning to be better at this game or any others we are skilled in.

Moving the night to accomodate the change in schedules we have experienced as of late. The day would most likely move to Monday nights if I were to toss one out there off the top of my head.
Let me know what you think or we will just go back to the regular Dragons bi-weekly format. Thanks.

omg cant wait!!!
i just wanted to take this opportunity to say omg, the next year is gonna be crazy. You guys know i’m not the biggest sf4 fan, but I play it cause that’s what is big right now and i’m using it as a means to bring people together and get into the scene. It’s like a gateway drug. Tonight there should be some melty action going down and I can’t wait to see what happens with that game. Late july is gonna be the explosion of awesome known as CS. And then, in the future, we’ve got MK9, which by all accounts will follow in the same vein as the good MK games with some updated systems, KoF13, which looks absolutely fantastic, and now MvC3, which turns laurence into a quivering bowl of pure HYPE at its mere mention. right now, after reading that sentence, laurence probably just got chills thinking about how captain america’s shield will hit on the way back as long as he doesn’t get hit.
Once all this greatness comes out there will undoubtedly be a couple people that will gravitate to each more naturally and they’ll be able to teach the rest if they are interested (pretty sure brian will never play blazblue–but i could be wrong). Personally, I’m looking forward to this. I’m probably most excited for bb:cs and it’s currently a toss up between kof13 and mvc3 for me.
seeing how my second ps2 arcade stick hasnt arrived yet, and i dont have a ps2 pad, i dont think i’m going to bring melty tonight. i will have bb set up like usual, unless people really really want me to bring melty blood, i just dont want to carry around a bunch of stuff.
Quoted for truth Komrade, and let me add that I am so happy we all have different interests in fighting games. It really brings so much diversity so that there are other games to play competitvely in the event of SF burn out which is most definitely going to happen and has already happened to some of you. One other thing is that there is more to life than SF and the next year will prove that. I will certainly be playing CS competitively seeing as how that is one of the more balanced games I have had the opportunity to play (calamity trigger anyway). If you are a hater of BB, Smash or whatever your favorite game to flame is, please note you are the reason why the fighting game community stagnates and can’t attract more players for the long haul. And with that I say please find the nearest hole and die.
Kraig, I am all over any little piece of MvC3 info. as you acknowledged and yes Caps shield throw is fuckin crazy good now!! As a lover of TvC/MvC2 I could not be happier with all the news surrounding the game and how it supposedly plays at this point. If any Capcom dev happens to read this though: FIX THE FUCKING HULK!!! Makes me a sad panda what I have seen and heard from those who have played it…sigh. It goes without saying that I am disappearing when that game hits; true believers are welcome to join. Not to mention KOF so SSF4 will certainly be enough to get me through the next year with Melty and MK/CS coming soon it’s a great time to expand your horizons people. The cool part is that we are all good or great (except Melty atm) at all of those mentioned so take advantage! Brian I am looking at you lol!
got my ps2 stick modded, so i am ready for a melty jam on tuesday.
having played melty at 5 dragons this past week i am sad i won’t be able to make any of the saltmines for the next month. I was digging on C-Kouma and C-Reisberg, though I can see how F-Reisberg could be used too. But yeah, those were the only two I played. I like the system and it’s pretty intuitive. Combos just roll out the fingers.
White Len is not beginner friendly AT ALL, but having fun trying to figure her out. So far its looking like Half Moon Arcueid Brunestud and Crescent Miyako Arima. Liking this game a lot, feels kinda marvel-esque with the air combos to me.
