It was good to see more productivity and people bustin out the mains more often…except for that one hour where Kraig slipped T.Hawk chronic into our beers and Rich’s gatorade…I am not sure but I thought I saw 4 T.Hawks on the screens last night wtf!!! Anyway’s to make the evenings more fun or productive let me know.
i just loled so hard it’s silly. the everybody-play-t.hawk-fest and the “what game is marth from?” “dude, fire emblem.” “oh i should know that. i work in a game store.” were flat out hilarity. i didn’t get to play you either, brian.
with regard to melty, i haven’t had the time to delve into all that crap, but this piece of tastiness is the forum post with the annotated matches. I watched one and i thought it was highly informative, albeit beyond my current understanding of the game. I figure if we are gonna make this game happen (I mean, I’ll only be able to play it when we get together) we should share some resources. I’ll try to see if any of the characters appeal to me, otherwise I’m taking suggestions. so far, for the games we play, i’ve got ssf4–t.hawk and ??? bb:cs–tager and ??? mbaa–no idea.
Awesome find! I will be spending some time looking through these vids Kraig. On the topic of who you should play, I think your Ryu has a chance to be solid, but then again who doesn’t have a solid Ryu with dragon punch trade into Ultra or ex fireball lol. Other than that I would say spend a looooooong time in training with Abel. You have a thing for grapplers (sorry to pigeonhole you) but it’s true and not a surprise that you give the most problems when you are using a character with a command throw.
In direct contrast to that in CS I think you should take a long look at Hakumen…just a hunch on that choice. In MBAA I would say look into these four Tohno Shiki, Riesbyfe Stridberg, Chaos, and Yumizuka Satsuki (who happens to be the only command throw grappler in the game). Your playstyle came to mind while watching vids of these characters so check it out for yourself and see if there is a fit with any of them. Much like myself in SSF4 you could decide you want a compeltely different experience and not choose the norm for yourself, but I think you will also find that in one of the 4 I mentioned. I think we should also excel in this game given the priority of air battles…something familiar to the BB and marvel players amongst us. Should be a good time!

You might be able to get that meltyness a little sooner through this store. They also have a nice drop down bar to add a flip top / magic swap package of your choice. Never ordered from there before, but I’m having a harder time finding fat flip tops than slim. Back to Japan Video Games, as for sticks they have a real generic looking black one or that siiiiiick Arcana Hearts 2 hrap one. I know how much we all love AH2, so $130 is a steal for that! You can get Melty Blood AA with a flip top and magic swap for $106.64 shipped. A little more if you choose UPS, but USPS is $6.66 and how often can you brag about paying that exact amount for shipping?
