I’ve been watching some CS2 Tager vids, kof13 matches, and some more modok stuff (him and spencer make the game really fun for me and they do some BIIIIG damage). I don’t think i’m gonna buy mk9 at this point but i’ll definitely play it at gatherings.
also, laurence, dat platinum… man she looks nasty. I watched a bunch of vids of her and my god, the rush down and the oki setups with the bubble are crazy. then she’s got keepaway with all those damn bullet bills and bombs. gonna be fun once you get those pogo combos.

i’d still recommend trying it out if you’re even vaguely interested. the gameplay is like a combination of MK vs DC ( 
) and MK 2. i hate mkvsdc–and even though mk 2 is fun, neither of these games should ever be taken seriously.
i liked umk3 because it was fast and hits were really damaging. it’s too bad they removed both the speed and the damage…
characters are still cool, though

Its pretty in depth, also i like the idea that you can use your creative (something similar to setting up your own tricks and combos in MVC3). As for why they “got rid of the speed” i heard Chris G talking about they didn’t want to have the run jab airlock set ups and shit like that (don’t know what that all means just saying)
Im taking this game pretty serious regardless if anyone is as well, Ideally I would like to see tag tournies with up to 4 people and team with rich and keep NH ON TOP for this game, anyone with me? Lets get SICK at kombat !

unless i see some shit that drastically improves the game during high level play, i’m not interested in diving into it. there’s no doubt that it has depth–they made sure of that. i’d just rather spend my time playing games i enjoy.
i wasn’t really asking why they got rid of the speed… it’s just a fact. umk3/trilogy/4 were all pretty fast even when you didn’t use the run button. “run jab airlock” setups? lol well since there’s no run button or jab in mk9 i bet they found it pretty easy to avoid any run jabs.
Seems like there is a major flaw(s) in every game out there right now. It’s a shame that these make the game unplayable for some, but really fun for others. It is a dynamic I have never seen before with fighting games. Honestly if Tekken weren’t so daunting to pick up, it might be the best game out right now lol. Here’s to hoping AE brings a little balance to the force.:tup:
