Ang: Guess what? of our local paper gave me a call yesterday. He said that internship positions are full (my fault of course) and that there weren’t any full-time positions, but he said that I have a shot with part-time. It isn’t a money issue of course ($20-$30 per article), but I’m just there for the experience. He just asked for some writing samples because he needs an idea of how good I am. Now…keep in mind that the writers for our local paper write at a highschool level (a level that everyone can understand). I’m beyond that level and I don’t think it’ll be too hard to get in. I typed up a film review for Dancer in the Dark (a film you need to watch) and that’ll act as one of my samples. Next time you’re on AIM…I’ll IM that chumpy to you. Anyway, the most important thing is that I’ve managed to pull my head out of my ass. Oh yeah…calendar??? What calendar???

Dont want to speak for the ladies, but I really don’t think the thread is entitled “New Female Thread” to attract attention. The title shows other girls where to go if they want to talk to other female gamers, that’s all. We can always go in to general and talk shit about our lives and get feed back from other men. Doesnt mean its right, harrassment and bullying never are, but once you realize that 75% of people on SRK are complete morons, it ceases to matter. Some people I’ve spoken to would even argue that the number is higher still. Almost anything spoken by a moron can almost immediately be discounted. There are exceptions to this rule, but it pretty much rings true, especially on cases such as this. On a basic level, seriously, why do you give a shit about what they’re saying? Its type. Little pixels on the screen. You have the option of an “ignore” button. Even if you really were a male pretending, that just makes you all the more stupider. So why should they care either? It just brings you down to their level to keep worrying about something thats dumb in the first place. All we have here on the internet is how we represent ourselves, until we meet others. So its pretty much out of public eye except for A.N players. The way most females usually find their way here is specifically looking for a fem thread or being pointed this way by other fem players who already post here. Sure, we still get a few idiots who post here, but eventually they wander off on their own once they realize their fantasy of being pounced upon like fresh meat by sexy girl gamers isn’t going to be realized. Speaking of calendars and pin-ups, I came across this guys site for pin-ups of larger gals! Its so sweet! I actually have a bit of a problem with some of his facial work, and his lines are a bit hard for me, but over all I still enjoy it. Especially his website dedicated to a true old fashioned pin-up figure called Hilda.
I guess all his drawings are based on living women too. Which explains why I dont like the hair on some of them. Oh well.
