Erik: did you try to compress or supercompress your animated gif file? sometimes it helps with the file size if you do this. if you want I can try to compress it for you, with your permission of course. but i did like the original one a lot better. we love Bjork!

erik: the editing is finally done. the smallest size i could get was 19k, hopefully this will fit SRK’s avatar dimensions crosses fingers
if i optimize it any smaller you’ll lose clarity of the images in the animation. i tried this with the original color version as well, but b&w looks better this morning.
I’ll have to explain the optimization process later on AIM. i’ve got to go to work this morning.

I just came back from ECC8 in Jersey. For the first time, I got to see the likes of Justin Wong, Sanford Kelly, and Ricky Ortiz. It was pretty funny to see Justin playing a game of Puzzle Fighter or talking to a random dude outside. For some apparent reason, I expected him to be constantly surrounded by groupies and well-wishers because that’s how some portayed him on here. But…he seems like a genuine guy. There were times in which I could have struck a conversation with him, but I just left him alone cause I don’t know him personally and I’m not going to act like I do. It was a good experience. However, being in a heavily-crowded arcade with pseudo celebrities dotting the populace, I kind of wanted a breather.
I have a question for all you Girl Gamers. Some one was saying in a thread in gaming dis that it would be a good idea if a Calendar was created with some sexy pictures of GirlGamers in sexy clothing, kinda of like Maxim, how do you feel about this? Would you girls be willing to pose for these pictures/Calendar?
I’m a guy, but I highly doubt that these girls would be up for that. But then again, I’m not one of them so I can’t be 100% sure. I just can’t picture Direness9 or Tacochan going for something like that. Maybe you should ask this question outside of this thread. What I mean by that is…there are lots of attention whores that flash their pics all over this site and claim that they are bisexual and such. Perhaps they’d be more willing to do something as stupid as posing for an SRK calendar.

as for the calendar idea; i’m not the body-type for it. plus, i think the rest of us female gamers have enough stalkers to contend with these days. the calendar would just antagonize more idiots to stalk whoever’s in the photos. unless you WANT that kind of attention, go for it. but why does the subject matter have to be only females? why not men too?

Start a thread in general discussion called, “Ladies of SRK Calendar.” Present that idea. Watch all the mature responses just fill the thread. :rolleyes: 95% of the guys on SRK can’t handle the concept of women and respect in the same sentence/mindset. Then you have to deal with the fact that by doing so, they get all these crazy fanboys as followers. And from what I’ve seen in SRK General Discussion, these are not the guys you want obsessed with you. I think you would be better off just getting some generic ass models to stand in front of some arcade machines. No point in desrespecting the ladies of SRK, just to satisfy the hormones of mindless goons.

To answer your question Angelina, a member in gaming Dis posted the idea as a Calendar of the gaming greats like Justin Wong, Soomighty, then they said it would be cool to get the girls in there.
As far as the starlker thing goes I think this Calendar would be a good idea for all the guys who love games and can never find a girl to share it with. The starker problem originates in the fact that there’s not enough girl gamers to go around. The Calendar could help with that.
There’s some pretty Hot chicks on Srk, look at those 2 chicks who enter tournaments, I seen their picture somewhere on Srk before, and what about Beautrice, Kitty and that girl from hawaii. Mycha, your telling me you wouldnt want to see them in a Maximish type spread. Not to be a perv or any thing. The girls wouldnt have to dress in swimsuits. Like the other guy said it could be done more like Lara croft, or something.
Anytime a stalker is captured, what’s the one thing they all have in common? Objects of woriship linked to their prey. Usually a shrine of pictures. A calendar won’t help solve stalkers. On the same topic, NOT releasing a calendar won’t make stalking cases rise either. But realeasnig a calendar will encourage those who already have stalker potential, to do so. Oh well, it’s being read too deeply into now, so I’ll just drop it. But I’m pretty sure those who would go for it, would do so for the wrong reasons.

As long as you keep the girls in the calendar legal of age. I know some of the females on here are under 18. But what would be even tighter if we had famous porn stars dressed like video game females. They could be from fighting to anything but they got to be sexy and nude.
