Dag Rubes, you sounded so happy Pre-Valentine’s Day. Not trying to sound like an ass or anything. Rubes, I personally think that you need not complain about something as minute as that (IHOP). The thought should’ve taken precedence over the setting of choice. I think that he was trying to just make up for the ways he has treated you in the past. He’s trying to man up is all. And yet, he doesn’t seem to get any credit for that. I know that you love him and all. I also know that you appreciate what he’s done, but you really need to be careful with what you say and what you do. It just sounded to me like you took a shit on him when he was trying to right the wrongs he’s done. I know you feel like caca right now and I’m not trying to rub it in, but your rant couldn’t have been at a worst time. But, doesn’t mean you aren’t sorry or regretful for what you did. It’s just too good sometimes. Like, my bro made his biggest mistake by getting a girl pregnant only a few weeks after he broke up with his ex girl, yet this kind of mistake seems so fucking true to me. I mean, it just seemed to hurt me like it did her. So what I guess I’m trying to say is that maybe you just need to sit back and look at Marcus and see through all of that past and focus on his intentions, which from the sounds of it, were good. Typical argument that can be mended with time is how I perceive it. Damn, I almost forgot it was V-Day. Personally, I wish it would just die. Seriously, it’s a day to exploit people that are either single and can’t get somebody or people who just got out of a relationship. It’s kind of like Christmas or Thanksgiving to the homeless or celebrity to the unpopular and unattractive.

My V-day weekend kinda sucked too. Ben was sick and quitting smoking so he was grumpy and not feeling well. I was depressed cause this weekend he moved back to KC and I just wasnt ready for it. I also suspect his roommate may go back to behaving like an ass, and I just dont want to deal with that. We forgot my shampoo and coffee ice cream at his old apt… the pictures we took together didnt come out well. Im worried about a test I have to take Thursday in calc…
My V-day was horrible. I didn’t do anything. And now I’m snowed in. I wish I could have spent it with TacoChan, Angie, Rubes, and Direness, all at the same time.
rubes: sounds like you re-acted half-normal to me; you’re “used to marcus acting mean” so you reacted accordingly. you yourself said you’re not used to marcus being nice, so lashing out at him sounds like a reflex-reaction for you. like Satomi said, you need to give him a chance to make good and act more mature. personally i would chalk this one up to experience, apologize to marcus, and move on. don’t beat yourself up over this anymore; you’ve acknowleged that what you did was wrong, so learn from it. It’s also good for Marcus to see this as well; if he always brought out the worst in you, he’ll need to re-think his approach and actions as well. you both have to re-adjust to new behaviour from people you’re used to expecting the worst from; it’s not easy. but “hats off to you” for making the effort and I wish you both luck on this.
as for my v’s-day it was good in general. my best friend was married at Unity Church’s wedding marathon; they’re one of the few churches around here that will preform gay weddings too. the reception for matt & johnnie was held at the art gallery where matt works. they loved the 3 art pieces i gave them (2 photo prints and one painting). the guestbook itself is another interesting idea that I hadn’t seen before; we all signed blue quilt blocks that a friend of the couple’s is piecing together for a wedding quilt gift.
my cousin found out she’s having a baby girl (due in may) and another friend of mine just found out she’s expecting as well.
To make up for it, I took him out to Outback. I held the car door open for him and made sure that he had a special birthday.
I did apologize and I told him exactly what I told you guys: I wasn’t used to him being so kind. He understood what I was trying to say this time so I think we’re ok. We talked about it after we got home from dinner, which was really fun. Believe me, anything was better than Friday night.
I know I shouldn’t have gotten absolutely horrible about the IHOP, and usually I appreciate just being able to go out with him on a Friday night. It’s rare that we get to spend any time together, so it wasn’t so much just going out that bothered me. It was more, I wanted to spend time with him for more than an hour doing something else like going to the movies or something, just not sitting in the IHOP. Friday nights are usually when we catch up with what’s been going on with each other, and we usually do that over some eggs and bacon.
I see that we weren’t alone in our misery Friday. At least we got to share it with friends.
Satomi, man, don’t give up on her right now for whack Omega Red. He sucks and I generally don’t rail on other characters. :lol: Ruby is good for different situations against different characters. What you have to remember later on is Ruby/Doom is your best bet for any combination that involves her. They are basically a battery team and can stop most rushdown. I nearly beat this guy’s Cammy just by calling Doom’s rocks and using Subliminations.

Personally, I love Ruby Heart. But then I dont PLAY MVC2, I fiddle around with it once in awhile.
I checked out your school newspaper website Ruby, esp. the Columbia Ghost article… I found it interesting. Im a big believer in ghosts, so that was the first article I graviated to.

Besides, I have disliked OR since I realized that if anyone gets hit by Carbonadium Masher, they should stop playing. Omega Destroyer is only decent because it reaches across the screen and seems to stop every super from coming across to nail him. That’s it. Don’t worry I have beef with Jin fans, too. I just absolutely don’t like him.
D9, that was an interesting piece to edit.:eek: Phil, the guy who wrote the story, does really good work, and we just put out the print edition yesterday. Phil had 5 stories in it just because he really gets out and reports his stories. He does a good job, and I enjoy working with him since he’s open to ideas from other people. He actually went on the tour and wrote about it so he’s really proud of it. Phil’s also a good foot taller than I am so imagine what it’s like to be 5"6 and fussing about editing with a guy who’s 6". It’s fun!:):lol:

I don’t know either. But since you mentioned Jin:mad:, I will also have to put him in . How about a no Cable match while we’re at it? That’ll just make things more interesting and we don’t need to worry about ‘jump back and shoot tactics’ either. Carbonadium Smasher is a good super. Think of it like Guile’s air super or Morrigan’s. I don’t think it’s embarassing to get hit by it. Who told you that? Only time you should get real ashamed of yourself is if you lose to Roll and Kobun. I mean, everybody else is legit in that game including Dan and Hayato. OR is nice. You also need to know that his supers aren’t his bread and butter. I mean, they’re damaging and all, but very difficult to connect. OR’s main purpose is to play the battey and build meter for goons like Cable, Doom, Storm, and Sent for example. I’m going to give you reason’s why OR does NOT suck.

There’s no doubt he’s not perfect. Oh God, he’s far from it. Same scenario as with Ruby Heart. He can hold his own against just about anybody in that game, but God Tier just messes him up and if you have any hopes of winning, you have to play smart and a relatively flawless game. People give him shit for no reason.

BRING IT SATOMI!!! Just kidding. I’m really not that good in that game. More than likely I’m going to Otakon this year. I went to Katsu this past weekend but they didn’t have any good tournaments. That and the fact that one of my best friends is a manga artist. If you’re coming to MD sooner than Otakon, you and Tyranidman should come to the Hagerstown tournies. But you might have to talk the guys into having a MVC2 tournament.

Misha, does KU have its own radio station??? the reason i ask is my friend Donna in CA works at uc-davis’ radio station www.kdvs.org (she doesn’t attend the school anymore, but still does the radio program) I didn’t know if KU had anything like this or if the program is available online.
not much going on this week. went to the casino and won $50 on the slots last night. mom won $140. which couldn’t have come at a better time too since the store business is so slow this month.
RUBYHEART4EVER: Sorry your V-Day didn’t go so well. Mine wasn’t that great either. Things were going pretty well for my g/f and myself that weekend until the “Presidents’ Day” storm hit (3+ ft. of snow). So she blamed me for not being able to get back to college and I had to listen to her bitch for the whole weekend. So I decided to just shovel snow until she stopped (a lot of snow). When I finally went back inside, she still wanted to argue. So I decided to play my stereo really loud to Eminem & Rob Zombie, while playing Syphon Filter and drinking Southern Comfort and just totally ignoring her. After two whole days of this, I decided I had enough (she smashed one of my college wrestling trophies). So I carried her outside, dropped her in the snow and argued w/ her for about an hour. We then started laughing because it was silly what we were doing in the first place. She has been apoligizing ever since, because it was not my fault about the snow storm (her classes were cancelled anyway due to the storm). So, it wasn’t a great V-Day for us, but certainly the most memmorable.
Oh yeah, we’ve had our own radio station forever. Forgive me if I dont remember the dial # (I think its 95.1…mmm, maybe not) cause its preset on my car radio, I dont think to tune in on it anymore. I honestly dont know if the station is online any more, I know they have a web page cause they used to broadcast online until online broadcasting fees and shit were implimated. There was ever talk of closing down the entire station because of budget cuts. The higher powers that be (fucking administation) would rather see the school cut to pieces than take a cut in THEIR OWN precious salaries. Too busy building new building to fix the old or give the money to the students…
Im stripping the red color out of my hair soon and returning to blonde I think. Im trying to decide if I want to cut my hair first so theres less hair to have to remove color from and redye blonde, or if I want to stip and dye first and then get cut to remove any nasty dry ends the process may leave. If I go blonde again, Im still gonna put some platinum and red streaks in it. Im just ready for a change again. Ive been a red head since before Xmas.
Btw, I was just wondering. Do you cosplay regularly? Cause I think you’d look great as this character from Shinobi. Her name is Ageha. I’ll have to locate a pic of her though.
I just started playing Guilty Gear XX up here. It is pretty good. Where I live, we have the arcade version, but all the directions & moves are written in Japanese. I guess there is no american version of it yet. Plus, there are five buttons to play with (I’m not sure what they do yet). Hopefully, whenever we have a tournament, this game will be on the list.
It also turns out that my favorite wrestling trophy that was smashed by my g/f on V-Day weekend is irrepairable. I really loved that trophy. So my g/f said she will find another trophy just like it to replace it. If not, she has to buy me tickets for any Eagles home game next season. The catch is, she has to wear a Detroits Lions jersey while we are at the game (they were only 5 -11 last season). :lol:
