mmmmm banana bread sounds really good:D
Merry Christmas everybody. I can’t wait to go to work in the morning and come home to an empty ass apartment. Weeee.
I hope you and yours have a safe holiday.
speaking of homemade food, i just made my family some homemade burgers, paulina-style:)
but don’t worry, if i were in your area, i’d of course, share a few with you, best buddy;)
p.s. sorry for butting in, y’all…
you’re not butting in paulina:)
Merry Christmas!!!
I got a nice gift yesterday, Santa Claus gave me the skills and patience to beat Shinobi. Now I can die a peaceful death. My bro got me a copy of Ghost Recon for PS2. I was going to get that so of course I’m happy with it. How about the rest of you? Anybody get any cool toys? Man, I really wanted a giant tub of legos. I would have to quit my job and drop out of school though cause that toy just consumes me.
Misha: Banana bread? Sounds good. My mom is a great baker though (it runs in the family). My grandfather in Puerto Rico used to own a bakery there as well as in New York. He had a degree in candy-making:cool:. My mom was lighting it up though. I’m talking three long jelly rolls, some Puerto Rican cookies, and meringues. I’m going to get fat from eating it though. Thanks to a very high metabolism, I have no worries.
Everyone having a good Christmas so far???
Goku: Since you’re going to be alone, you should call up a bunch of exotic dancers, drink heavily until your bladder gets painfully full, have some sex, and play CVS2. Not bad huh;)?
just saw gangs of new york. it was pretty good. daniel day lewis was the best actor in the movie. but it was 3 hours long. worth seeing though:D
(In Washington D.C.) Hello everyone. Just wanted to see how everyone’s christmas was this year. I took my g/f to D.C., so we could have some quality time together. So far we went to the movies, The Smithsonian Institute, outside The White House, and lots of shopping stores. It’s a good thing I workout a lot, or else I would have been worn out by now (freakin’ girl is a shopaholic, but I still love her). She bought me an “Eagles” sport jacket, even though I am a “Cowboys” fan, and a gorgeous watch. She also bought some other things from her Victoria’s secret catalog (You can guess what they were). Needless to say, I’M VERY HAPPY!!! We’ll probably be in D.C. for a few more days, then come back to philly.
GOKU3X: Sorry, you had to be home alone on X-mas. Hopefully, this will not be a recurring event for you.
Happily yours, Anubis
You can get a DEGREE in candy making? TIGHT!! Apparently some of my grandmothers and such were excellent candy and bread makers too, but the one was a bit of a *****, and died without passing on the receipes. Thats okay, she sounded like a cruel, mean-spirited-german-woman. Didnt want her cinnamon roll or popcorn ball or bread receipes anyway. Crazy German people. Its just completely bizzare to me when grandparents or parents pick favorites amongst the kids and treat the rest like shit. Or pick one kid to completely hate. I cant see why any (grand)parent wouldnt want to be the best (grand)parent in the world. I can understand that people get run-down and tired in life and may not have the energy to deal with kids, but love can always be shown in different ways.
I got both the Dark Crystal and Labyrinth on DVD, a Labyrinth poster from my sister thats pretty tight, a little purse, a nailclipper carrycase (I know, ???), a new years eve party pack(no alcohol though :bluu:) , some beaded earrings and my parents took me to the Treasures of the Czars display at the Topeka International Musuem. That was pretty sweet. Usually my parents get me some pretty bizzare things, like “turning-light-up-alien-heads” or other stuff I just dont know what to do with. But this year everything was pretty useful or just cool. We’re going down to my grandparents house this weekend and I get to see all my relatives and the new baby cousins (which means I’ll probably be changing diapers all weekend, but eh). We’ll probably stop by the boyfs relatives too and we havent got anything for them yet. A bunch of kids there too.
Not in that order I hope!
Hey Ang! Did it snow in Independence today (the 26th)? We got some suprise light snowfall here. It was goregous!
Anubis- Lucky jackal!
Well I hope everyone had a good christmas. I wanted a threesome but of course Santa couldn’t fit that into his bag.:o  Right before Christmas I witnessed some teenage boys try to break into a car, but the dumb fucks did it wrong and ran off like bitches when they heard the alarm. I’m blown because I forgot to play Powerball. I want to hear everyone’s comment on this question. Why do crimes happen the most during the Christmas season?
Anubis: No offense man, but why do you always tend to include how you work out in your posts? Is this an inside joke? Are you attempting to impress? Don’t get me wrong, man. I’m just curious is all.
Misha: it snowed a few flakes over here last night while my sister and I were out shopping. luckily the customers were behaving a bit better yesterday than they usually do. did you here about the dude in Bonner Springs Wal-mart??..one guy cracked another guy over the head with a bat for mocking this crying baby. crazy!!!
We’re all broke this year but the grandkids cleaned up I was surprised my co-workers got me gifts too. still haven’t received my x-mas bonus yet, but the extra cash & hours is helping out alot this week. Finally saw LoTR 2…woo-hoo! great movie. can’t wait for the 3rd one.
oh yeah, Misha there’s a new year’s eve pow-wow over here at the Life Center (near the morman tower) I’m not sure if I’ll be able to make it though. but thought I’d let you know about it. I gotta work all day on new year’s eve.
well if I don’t log on before next week “Happy New Year’s” to everybody
(Back in Philly) Whew! It’s great to be back home (somewhat). Now that the party’s over I have to get back to work.
SATOMIBLOOD: I may have a bit of a narcissistic side to me, and I apologize for that. But I take working out seriously. I brought that up in my last post due to the fact that my g/f & I went to at least 12 different stores, and she bought items at EVERY one of them. So guess who was “volunteered” to carry all the bags?
Anubis: I understand what you mean. I should work out myself cause I’m a scrawny little bitch. I just can’t get into it.
Other things to discuss: Is anyone here going to get the Evo2k2 DVD? I’m thinking about getting it, but I’ve heard of people getting “cheated” out of their B5 DVDs. A lot of people wouldn’t get their DVD after they sent their money. I want the DVD, but I don’t want to get fucked over. Thoughts?
Hope everybody has a great new year’s celebration. I’m taking my g/f to the “Tina Marie” concert here in Philly to bring in the new year. After that she has to go back to Penn State. So I’ll just spend more time here in SRK.
Good one? You sound like something i saw in a movie…
O it was Planet of The Apes
draco stop coming in here trying to start shit.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! my resolution is to not stand up to jen that much:p be safe and enjoy yourselves.
Happy New Year Y’all!!! Mine was hella boring, but there was a rather negative and disturbing moment at the dinner table involving my relatives. Though I really hate to throw in the racial card, I must for the sake of others. I just seems to me that my family is comprised of racists and bigots athough not entirely. I had to listen to my cousin make comments about African-Americans and how he wouldn’t allow a person of color in his house. It made things look as if my brother and I were the only diverse people in the family. The generation gaps are obvious, but I can’t comprehend why Puerto Ricans would have something against African-Americans. I mean, part of the blood that flows through my veins is that of African-American descent. Then the topic goes to my brother and I and what ethnicity we plan on getting married to. Obviously, my parents would be upset if I brough a black girl home and that’s very sad. I feel embarassed to even be posting this, but I felt the need. The pressure was on me, but I stand by my beliefs. I feel I’m more educated on the matter than the rest of my family combined. I’ve learned not to despise someone because of the pigment of their skin or the religion that they follow. It sickens me that this bullshit still goes on and in my family no less. I apologize to everyone who has to read this. I love my family and blood is blood, but they can seem so idiotic. Anybody else going through this with their family? I know of biracial couples on SRK. Maybe our generation does know better.
My New Years resolution is not to immediately spend all the money my relatives gave me because I will be needing it later. BUT ITS SO HARD! We went to a New Years party last night alone that cost 10 bucks per person, I still need my hair cut, I have to buy school books and I found these really cute wrist bands I want on Karmaloop.com. DAMN YOU JEN FOR SHOWING ME THAT PLACE!!! J/K girl, but that place is addictive. Ebay is deadly addictive too. The next resolution is to sell more on Ebay than buy. chews nails As a present to myself I bought a cute vintage sailor dress from the 1940s and a special “S” curve curler that puts pin-up girl waves in your hair. My sister and I are also pooling our gift certificates for a PS2 and a DC agetec joystick. My boyfriend still hasnt brought back our old joystick (the “enforcer” - what a TERRIBLE stick!!) and I hate playing hand held for Soul Calibur or CVS2. Hell, I hate playing without a stick on ANYTHING really. I suck, I know, but Im spoiled. My next resolution is to get my damn SS card back soon and get a damn job. Then I need to pick a major. Then get my weight to 110. (Dont start the weight comments!) Maybe not all in that order. Maybe a health spa or gym is looking for someone to tend the desk or wash windows or something and then they’ll let me work out for free.
But seriously guys, just totally ignore Draco, put him on your ignore list. I did, I never notice him, dont have to deal with him, and it really doesnt do much good to argue with incoherent dingbats past a certain point. Thats why I dont post in GD very often.
All you people are hypercrites. All you talk trash, i should put all of you on my Ignore list. You say o stop talking trash, like i was even talking crap. All of you must not see the other crap that people type that is much worse. THan what i say.

You people should catch that crap not promote it…
keep dreaming , but dont stop believing.{Will to power}
no one wants too… HELPING ME ESCAPE , I WANT TO THANK YOU, THANK YOU{mr. roboto}
You know, I kinda face the same problem except not on the same scale. My grandparents are not out-and-out racist, but they still carry some of those attitudes from the 40’s-70’s with them, and everyonce in a while they’ll slip out. And it always puts me in an awkward place, because Ive always been taught never to argue with my grandparents, they’re my elders, but at the same time I feel the need to say something to counteract what they’ve said. And I know at this point in their lives that they HAVE come a long way from where they were in the 50’s. (Even then they were pretty progressive for their area as my mom’s best friend as a kid was black and they let her come over and play when that might have been frowned upon. ) I think their racism comes down to a belief that miniorities, when they’re good people, are “acting white” but when they’re bad people, its because its “inherent in their nature and deserve what they get”. I’ve tried to explain to them that nothing is “inherent” in a racial nature, there IS no racial nature. There can be difference in cultural values, but even then that depends on where you grew up, your family group, etc, etc. But Ive also realized that because of their age, its very unlikely that they’ll be able to shug off those remnants of racism. Its possible, but unlikely.
My neighbor, whom Ive known since a kid, is also racist. Like not to the point he’d hurt anyone, but to the point he doesnt want his children associating with minorities. My dad’s had several conversations with him that while he considers him our friend, he doesnt want his racist use of language used around our family and we dont agree with his attitudes. My boyf says that I shouldnt have any contact AT ALL with such a person, that people like that should be basically ignored within society. But how do you ignore someone who helped you buy your first car, that you babysat for their kids and give them hugs everyday, who brought you into their storm shelter when there was a tornado, that you have a lot of history with? He, like your family, arent BAD people necessarily. I mean he’s not going out beating people or attending supremacy meetings (and I assume your family isnt either) - they’re just ignorant. They grew up and still believe in a system meant to oppress and separate people socially, economically, mentally and spiritually. And they dont know better.l The only way their going to learn is by our examples and endorsement of a united society. So dont give up on them. Keep arguing. Some of them when they realize that their arguments dont make sense may start to question what they’ve been taught. And thats a start.
