Upon seeing your recent pic, I’ve come to realize that you look somewhat like the German girl from The Bourne Identity (Matt Damon movie just in case you don’t know). Just a little thought.
About that girl, she seems apologetic after the e-mail I sent her telling her to back the fuck off. I don’t want to let my guard down and act like things are ok when they aren’t. I’m puzzled as to how to handle this:confused:.

Oh, I forgot to tell you Ang that the Sherriff came by AGAIN the other day looking for that guy who uses our address for his legal crap. He treated me like I was some sort of idiot (Im like, wow, your asking for MY help, when Ive called the legal office SEVERAL times telling him this guy doesnt live her, sent back all the mail addressed to him, this has been going on for like 2 yrs now, you cant find him and you treat ME like an idiot - yeah, way to go hotshot. Cops wonder why civilians dont like to help them even on a normal basis, sheesh.) He asked me all this shit like if I was the Mrs. of the house (do I look that old?!) who the house belonged to, how long we’ve lived there, did we own it (like they cant find this shit out from public records!) and then showed me a picture of the guy and told me “This isnt a joke, this is a very bad man.” and then, “This guy isnt your boyfriend is he?” I stuck my tounge out at that. This whole thing is just very irritating. They screwed up and let this guy sneak out and give them an incorrect address without verifying it, and then they come pestering MY family about it and treating me like a 3 yr old on top of it all.
Cops, ya gotta love 'em.
Course, I did stick my tounge out. Maybe I do act like a 3 yr old. 
Thanks everyone, I’m definitely going to do something about it tomorrow when I see him (we’re spending the day together). I think we’re going to have a long talk about what’s been happening and what may happen.
After I posted that yesterday, I sat down and I weighed all of the reasons I’m at least letting him attempt to make amends, and I found there were more positives than negatives. I think the whole friendship aspect for several years is really the driving force. But as they say, you still have to check out who’s holding the flashlight that’s casting the shadow. Interesting no doubt.
And yeah, believe it’s the little things that count. As Brandon Lee most aptly stated in The Crow, “Little things used to mean so much to Shelly. I used to think they were kind of trivial. Believe me, nothing is trivial.” And yes, he is trying. That is promising. Maybe I’m starting to melt but maybe not. I did let him know, by the way, that he was setting himself back. I’m at least letting him know.
Satomi, I’m impressed. At least you let her know. Now she has absolutely no excuse for following you around and if she does again, you should just get absolutely mean about it. I mean, it’s not like she hasn’t been warned.:lol:
I’m beginning to hate my job. It seems after working there for the last 2 or 3 months that I’m the only black person there. I’m not one to harp on race or even pay any attention to it, but I’m beginning to notice it now. I get the distinct feeling that I’m the “token” black person with absolutely no opinion. And I swear if the freaking news reporter that works there looks at me funny or acts like I’m completely invisible, I will scream. It’s rather amusing when we have the editorial meeting and I’m the only black sitting at the table and the conversation turns to coverage of other races. An example of this is the Native American Film Festival that coming up (something I sure Angie and Misha would be interested in, no doubt). They talk like if they actually say the world “they” in reference to the Native American population, I’m going to just scream “RACIST, RACIST BASTARDS!!” at the table and then leave. It’s amazing to watch some supposedly liberal people squirm because of a topic like a film festival or the race of others. I can’t stress enough how much I don’t care what shade someone is, but this is making me uncomfortable and I’m beginning to really dislike working there. It’s only when we have those editorial meetings that I feel like that, and I only have to go to them every other week since I only work about 12 hours a week while the rest of the editorial staff works 40+ hours. The meetings are a complete waste for me since I don’t know what’s going on (some stories have already been discussed since January; I started working there in August), and I feel like my opinion really doesn’t count at all. Work sucks:(
I just found out, by the way, that we are getting 7th mix/MAX at our local Putt Putt. I guess now I’m going to have to learn freeze arrows.:eek::eek:

Rubes: I totally know what you mean about the p.c. bullshit in the workplace. the media workplace it seems has to don the mask of “acceptable language” the most these days out of fear of lawsuits and widespread protests. what’s even weirder is when colleges or other institutions try do this on a regular basis and their staff/students/customer base is a huge mix of races & cultures and only the Board or faculty are all white. I witnessed this at the college in Oklahoma I went to several years ago. Bacone started out as an all Native American college (originally named Indian University) now it’s practically a nursing school/community college where over 50% of the student body is Native American (it’s a clause in the land contract between the Creek Nation and the college itself that it has to be a majority like this) All the board members, faculty and majority of the staff however are white and are constantly in this mine field of “appropriateness” which at times is extremely annoying to the rest of the community.
if people back in the day at the beginning of such institutions had been “polite & undiscrimantory” in the first place we wouldn’t need a p.c. dictionary/rules/seminars right now. :lame:

oh good I’m glad you liked the beadwork. as for usage like during a tourney, yeah I’d take it off just to be safe while playing. I haven’t checked my mail today, yet. videotapes and other bulk items usually have to be weighed at the post office. be sure to put them in a bubbled-envelope for safer shipping of the tape. it shouldn’t be over $2 in postage for something like a vhs/8mm they don’t weigh that much.
glad to hear you confronted your stalker. hopefully she’ll learn from this incident and control herself/behaviour a bit more in the future.

I completely agree. Its weird how prejudice still rears its ugly head even in the guise of p.c. though…
I dont know, this world is just too fucked up. Too much concern on color and not people. Too much concern on race and not background and community. You know what I mean?
You know, Bacone College as you describe it reminds me of Gallaudet, THE reknown university for the Deaf. They placed a Hearing president Elizabeth Zinser (who knew very little about the deaf community. If I remember correctly, I dont even think she could sign) in charge of a Deaf college. Now it wasnt even so much that she was Hearing, I think they have hearing staff at Galladet, but that she wasnt aquainted very well with the Deaf communities, students and their particular issues. She was just qualified to run a college, any other college. Luckily she resigned, saying that she understood the situation and wanted to pave the way for civil rights. Which really, was the only graceful and intelligent thing to do in her situation.
I mean you have to feel kinda sorry for her, but she really WASNT qualified for the position, and it sounds like the same thing is happening at Bacone - part of the p.c. relationship thing is that the teachers arent familar with the community group (because its not just race, its also social) they’re supposed to be helping to educate. They’re only familiar with the nursing aspects of it. At least thats what it sounds like to me, I could be wrong, and there are always exceptions.
Ang, TC, and company: I went to Philly today. Kinda disappointed. I guess because I suck so bad at MVC2. I mean, it’s too much work to be learning Magneto, Storm, etc. Yeah, I pretty much got my ass handed to me almost every match I played. PLUS the videos I took weren’t all that great. You can see those annoying black lines going over the screen over and over again. I only got about 15 minutes or so of film so nothing special. I might just ditch the MVC2 documentary idea for something much easier. I just wasn’t feeling the vibes. Anyway, I’ll be heading off.

Hey all, I’m just getting online this weekend, just wanted to see how you all were doing.
Satomi, don’t feel bad. Not everyone has the time to get really good at games and you’ve just joined the club. I used to play it for fun but I realized that MvC2 is not a fun game unless I play by myself against the computer with a Gameshark.:lol: It’s pretty fun then because I get to do things that I want to do and try out new combos I think are fun. Other than that, I don’t play it. I have more fun playing the first game than the second, and I play the first with no GS.

If it were a girl I’d say cool.:lol: I once did that with a friend of mine on here but he’s pretty cute so I didn’t mind. I just got Tony Hawk on the DC. I couldn’t get into the series until 3 when they had the really good create-a-character feature and I made a bald, chocolate “Rubes” with a hooded-sweatshirt, black jeans, and motorcycle boots. She even has an eyepatch.:lol:
