TC, I didn’t even play as Mags or Storm. I was referring to the people that I played against. I faced some really good MSPs. Who did I pick? HAHA, well for one match I picked Jin/Venom/Doom like I said I would:sweat:. I was picking WATTS, but in the wrong order (Sent/BH/Capcom). Pretty lame performance on my part. I mean, the guy I went with flipped a bitch on me for picking Venom in one of those matches which were casual btw. I didn’t do the tourney. That for me would’ve been a bigger waste. I’ve heard about Mags being sooooooooooo much work as you’ve said, but I don’t know if I’m that willing to practice with him over and over and over again. I mean, I could forsee that happening. I did mess around with Mags/Storm/Sent and MSP for close to an hour. I managed to do some basic combos with Mags and a little bit of the intermediate. When I practice as him sometimes, I feel that I do have the potential to play him well and not just well. I have to work on just about everything from resets, Tempest combos, infinites, infinite setups, etc. I’ll practice as him later, but right now I’m looking at it this way. I’m either going to get serious and play him and everybody else to the fullest or I’m going to put the game down. We’ll see what happens. About the black lines, I didn’t think about it. I mean, I remember it happening before, but it didn’t really cross my mind again. Bah, let’s face it. I suck at Marvel.

I tried learning Storm and Mags but I can’t get into them and they move a little too fast for me. My hand and eye coordination isn’t fast enough, so I can barely do the small combos like a Hyper Tempest. However, Marcus is pretty good with Mags, though sometimes I know how to get around him.
Satomi, don’t worry about Marvel. It’s not designed very well and it’s a complete waste to bother with it now. I’d still rather sit down and play a casual game with lower-tiers than to play with characters like Sentinel and Cable anyday. When I recently took a trip to Charlotte to check out their arcades, I had a lot of fun because people were playing characters like Son Son and Guile at top levels. I mean I enjoyed getting my ass kicked by a Guile player than a Mags player, and no one bitched at me about playing Ruby/Doom. Even though Doom is considered top-tier in some circles, he just doesn’t feel tops to me. He’s one of my favorite characters, and I will usually play him with the so-called lower-tiers too. Nothing like Doom’s rocks.:lol:
Also, if someone bitches at you about playing Venom, just ignore them. It’s about who you want to play, not what the so-called best think you should play. I’ve gotten some stupid shit about playing Ruby from people in SC and it’s incredibly stupid of them to think that playing a certain character automatically makes you better than other players. Ruby was the first character I ever used in MvC2 (when it came out) and though I’ve branched out to other characters, she remains my ultimate favorite. Even when I know I’m going to lose against another player who happens to be really good, I still pick Ruby because she’s my mainstay and is probably my best character (with Doom running a close second). So just stick with who you want to play and don’t let someone dissuade you from what makes you comfortable with the game.
I’m wishing I could die my hair right now. I’ve been trying to get a Betty Page thing going and I did for a few months. I cut the front myself and I kept the back long. Now it seems my bangs don’t want to cooperate so I’m back to the drawing board. At the moment my hair is just at the base of my neck and it’s the usual blackish/brownish. I’m thinking I want to go burgundy or purple but I don’t know how it would look. Burgundy goes well with my skin shade so I think it would look okay. I think I might spend the money for a good wig and see how it goes.

Rubes: I’m training as Mags right now and I think that if that’s all I do for a few hours (2 mostly) each day, then in a couple of months I should see significant results, but it’ll be a fucking while before I totally master him. Yeah, bottom/mid-tier matches are sooooo much more fun. But lately, I’ve been doing damage with mostly top tier teams such as Storm/Sent/Capcom or Cable/Sent/Capcom. For a while, I was abandoning my favorite characters like Jin:sweat: and now it’s all about learning Mags. I’m trying to do this on a DC pad too. I’ve got 2 sticks, but they aren’t that great. One stick doesn’t even understand the concept of wavedashing while the other is a tad bit cumbersome. Too much for my taste. Egh, it’s a work in progress. With my Mags skills, I can’t really go toe-to-toe with anyone.

Btw Misha, don’t sweat it about DDR. I come from Lancaster, PA. I bet if both of our cities had competed in a lame contest, my city would win. We STILL have 2nd/3rd Mix. Actually, there’s a lasertag place with 7th Mix so I guess you win:lol:. But arcades in Amish Country generally aren’t that great. The best one I’ve been to was University Pinball in Philly. It has a great set-up and everything. It’s located in a college town kind of area so us guys get to see some fine ass edumacated college ladies walk by the front windows. But they never look back or actually set foot inside:depress:. I like the vibe there. Combine that with some of the best MVC2 and CVS2 players on the East Coast and you’ve really got something. Hope things are going well for you.

Okay, now that I realized that it wasn’t Mycah himself in the pictures he put online, I’m beginning to get a little angry.
Now, as much as I don’t agree with the things QoC has said or did, it doesn’t mean that her ex-boyfriend has the right to put naked pictures of her online. That just isn’t right. No matter how dumb she may act or whatever lies she’s told, that doesn’t mean that she should have her privacy invaded like that. If the shoe were on the other foot, I’m almost positively certain that Mycah would be pissed and calling her a bitch, etc.
Mycah, you and she may have broken up but there is a reason you were together. Obviously, or otherwise you wouldn’t have lived with her for several months. I’m not very knowledgable of what happened between Mycah and QoC and I don’t really care either (no offense, Mycah). I poked fun at the idea of a nude pic, but what you said made me realize that it was pretty messed up. Like, what the fuck are these pics doing on a videogame forum? I mean, sure there’s tons of picture threads on SRK and us guys like to post pics of the girls that we like, but not in that fashion. I didn’t really think about QoC at all. Oh believe me hun, mycah’s already been roasted a couple of times and its not even proven that he originally put the pics up in the first place. And I agree with you for the most part tho about not further speading them- at this point its just vindictive - but Im also of the mind that if your stupid enough to send out nude pics of yourself to people you dont know that well (like she supposively did), you’re pretty much releasing those pics into public domain. Personally if I didnt want to look like an asshole, and further hurt my rep as 'the ex" I wouldnt spread pics even if they werent taken by myself. Because you KNOW that shit gets around on SRK’s rumour mill, even if inadvertantly.
Im feeling almost deprived. I havent been to a tourny in months when for awhile there we were going every other week. I know it cuz we aint got no money and Ben’s almost quite playing SF games competitively (I dont even get to play at all anymore really, so theres no way I could be competitive), but its still a little odd to realize Ive stayed pretty much in-state for the past 5months.
But lets move on to happier things…
I had Betty Page bangs for awhile and I loved em. Best bangs I ever had, and I was stupid enough to let my hair dresser convince me to let them grow out. I look terrible with long bangs. I need to get my hair cut again actually, my short “do” has grown out enough that it has too much weight on it to be nice and bouncy and it desparately needs to be reshaped and I already need to redye it. I might try to do at least that this weekend. Hopefully I’ll have a deal coming up for trying out a new product (nope, Im not allowed to tell yet!) and Im getting some nice money for that. And it looks like the local movie theater and Kohl’s are hiring, so I can make some holiday cash. Tho I might need the money to pay for some testing to see if I have a hearing disorder, I dont kno if my health insurance will pay for it. :bluu: It sounds like I might actually get some help this time, rather than being given the run-around.
