Hilarious…yet very informative.
A chance to be heard by the FCC…I’ll post mine up tomorrow.

Tomorrow is the big internet slowdown, at least netflix is on our side, but they have to be since the company is at the mercy of ISPs
Is a slowdown really happening? Which companies plan on doing it?
They will not slow down content.
They will put a fake loading sign to remind you of what’s happening.
If they actually slowed down porn to dial up speeds, every representative would feel like a DDOS was occurring.
Internet needs to become a utility already. It’s too important to the future of America’s economy to be a private enterprise.
Because the government has done such a bang up jorb curtailing other private enterprises that are abusing their power, right?
Not happening.
There are some places where is kind of shitty, but overall utilities kinda show that certain times a monopoly can work really well. Whether or not this is the case for the internet is besides the point; the internet getting treated like an essential to american life (which it has become) is definitely the sentiment you should take away from Raz0r’s posts. For better or worse, you become a third class citizen if you cannot access the internet. Much of modern life is dependent on the internet almost as much as it is dependent on gas.
this is more like a company saying they own the roads, and you now have to pay them to drive on them. Then they force you to go 10 mph.
Then they let rich people and rich companies drive 100mph.
You cant even apply for work anymore without the internet.
They wouldn’t need to be high. Seriously, what’s a better way to spend money: 85(pre2014)/65 billion dollars a month to wall street via quantitative easing, or high speed internet service for everyone in the world (probably not even a billion per month)?
What the fuck are you even talking about? Before addressing me, make sure you have a complete, coherent point. Otherwise, let the adults talk.
Kind of funny seeing the changes occurring here around certain ISP cause a competitor comes in. With Google Fiber hitting up in Texas soon, around my area, we were given an upgrade becomes to 300 down basically begging us not to switch to Google Fiber.
Sucks though, since it sounds like Google agrees with these ideas.
I’d rather have Google Fiber, but I don’t think I’ll be avoiding the problem from what it sounds like.
Some ISP’s have sued cities because they were going for Google fibre
Frivolous suits all, or no?
I can see them doing it on the grounds of them being utilities providing telephone or cable services. They would have contracts with the city to do all the digging and laying down wires. They wouldn’t do it as an ISP provider because then they’d have no merit to sue.
But I’m just guessing.
I also hate how fuckin greedy these companies are.
With a flick of a switch, everyone in the area got 300 down/up. People had to “switch routers” to get the new speeds, but we didn’t bother yet we got the speed boosts.
Fuck this, laws like these are for people who have money, but want more.
Gotta afford that 4th private jet some how.
Please read carefully, and note ludicrous amounts of bullshit in Comcast’s statements…
My favorite joke in that 324-page response…
still ongoing. I know its going on in Kansas City right now
ISP’s right now need to be reigned in. They are making so much money from the net, that they’re just hiring lawyers now to shut down any competition. Governments are afraid of dealing with them properly (or are in their pockets, via lobbying).

Why does this thread only have 2 pages? one our most pressing issues and I’m theo nly one keeping up with…fuck it I’ll go post anime gifs in the lounge.
