I just tried 1.0.3 myself with sonic adv (have no other iso now) and seems similar.
You guys behind the development of this are awesome! I’m always impressed by emulators. Really incredible stuff to me. I lift my hat to you guys.
The vmu seems to work nicely too. Saw the little characters on sonic and it now asked me to choose a vmu and save file whereas before it did not. Nice.
EDIT: The part with the bullets falling on the floor in sonic adv at the beginning when the police guys shoot chaos 0 is now perfect. Before it would go to 1 fps and print tons of error in the console. Now all is fine.
[Naomi version of nullDC will be released in a few hours]
The DreamCast version of nullDC has been updated! It now also includes support for VMU’s as well. More games are now compatible with increased speed performance.
Check out the screenshot of nullDC emulating with VMU support:
There are now two versions of nullDC. One version is simply for Dreamcast emulation and the second version is for Naomi emulation. They were separated so that the emulators would be more efficient and easier to program.
The Naomi version currently does not have documentation and therefore has not been released yet. The Naomi version of nullDC will be released in a few hours with proper documentation.
Just tried it, and so far ikaruga and MvC2 are working great for me. Thing is I can’t use my custom stick with the emulator. To get my sticks to work I’m using joytokey, but the way my ps2->pc converter works, it reads joystick left as button 0 which doesn’t exist in joytokey. Does anyone know any other programs that’ll let me bind button 0 to a keystroke?
edit: fixed it :3 even though it says that its a button 0 press, I ran an autohotkey test script and it executes a joystick button 16 stroke as well. Sorry if this was already obvious to everybody.
The computers good but it’s the video card that’s the problem. All the DC and Naomi emulators require better video cards. Get one and you’ll have smooth emulation.
is there any way to force regions using NullDC? i’m trying to run an NTSC game and it shows up as PAL somehow, and my framerate sucks because of it. @_@
My CVS2 framerate went up!!! i’m using a graphics chip that’s even worse than TRU’s and i get 60fps at the training stage. awesome!
Wrong. You can’t upgrade graphics cards on laptops. That’s why they say laptops aren’t the best for gaming :wasted:. You can get a good desktop that will run this anywhere from $300 - $600. Just look around. Better yet, build one youself.
Well this suxs !

speaking of crappy video cards, have any of you tried 1.0.3 with 3DAnalyze yet?
i’m not sure which options i should select (the november '07 version of nullDC works fine for me through 3DAnalyze). this all i needed to check for that last version of nullDC: http://i36.tinypic.com/1ext7s.png (in the red rectangle).
