Holy shit, I don’t know what to ask… A VMU utility? So we can use savegames downloaded from Gamefaqs?
Could be useful for fighters that you need to unlock characters in.
Netplay will it be on the next build?
specially usefull for unlocked characters on mvsc2… those are hella lot
There are some cheat progs out there that are incorporated with NullDC, these should let you get all the chars unlocked.
There is a save/ load state manager.
He hasn’t messed with online netplay in a while. He did say that netplay for this might be a little tricky. Here’s what he said:
<Raz> the problem with netplay is
<Raz> nulldc is not deterministic
<Raz> ie
<Raz> for same input you dont allways get same output
<Raz> espeicaly now that it emulates the RTC
If anyone could fix this it would be Ponder. I’ll get more info when I can.

Hopefully it’s not too late, but I’d really like to see Ikaruga’s 2nd level fixed as the video bug makes the level unplayable.
I hope the next release fixes the sprite glitches that happen when you run Capcom vs. SNK 2 on an ATI card. My laptop has an Nvidia so it runs fine there, but my arcade machine uses an ATI, so that’s quite a bit of a problem for me.
Well, he’s writing fog right now into the nulldc source. Said it helps the graphics and such. After that he will release the newest build. I believe he said CvS2 works fine.

i cant wait =p
me neither… !!
so maybe tomorrow? :wgrin:
Finished the fog coding. Doing tests right now. He does live in Greece, over there it is almost noon. He has been up a long long time. He did say he’s not going to sleep until it is done though. Yeah, hopefully tomorrow.

P.S.: Not sure but in the DC version of Ikaruga does it say Free Play? If not, I saw a screen with Naomi emulated Ikaruga :bgrin:.
Glorious.
frameskip button!! so i can fas forward through battles in skies of arcadia.
yes, frameskip!
savestates and record input replays support
I don’t think frame skip is actually needed at this point since computers won’t be able to speed up the process of the game that much. He has a quad core computer and is putting out under 600%. Someone with a dual core would be doing only little over 100%.
Recording replays and such would probably come at a later time. He’s pretty much getting this final one to go out ready (he’s sleeping right now). I did mention to him that he should have a frame skip button in the sense like a CPS2 emulator such as Kawaks does. So you can see the animations frame by frame. It would be great for games such as AC where they have new moves and people would want to get the animations for avs and such.

The new nullDC release is almost here with Naomi and Dreamcast support. It will have support for the Dreamcast VMU’s as well. I’ve gotten the official word as well.
Just a few more hours.
EDIT: The only thing left is the documentation, which is what they are currently working on. Once that’s done, expect the official release immediately.
wait…what was the 1.0.3 that was released earlier? in the Naomi thread?
from here:
http://www.emudev.org/nullDC-new/
updated today?
Congratulations, you found the hidden jackpot!
Yes, 1.0.3 is the latest version. The only problem is that most of you will probably not be able to run it without documentation. Let’s just say it’s a pre-official release.
Once the documentation (ReadMe’s, Changelogs, etc.) is ready, the RAR files will be repackaged and ready for official release. You will then see the news posted all over the Internetz.
Here’s another exclusive picture for you all (game is Soul Calibur), which now includes VMU emulation:
Got it. sounds good, man.
oh, and I had no problem running Marvel vs Capcom 2 and Capcom vs. SNK2. Runs just like the last nullDC release.
Maybe there were some things I didn’t do to unlock teh hidden powaah. But I really couldn’t tell what changed.
I didn’t try the Naomi thing, though.
