NEW DreamCast Emulator: nullDC v1.0.0 Beta (Runs games at FULL SPEED!)

hmm, mixed reviews…

man, how do you get marvel online w\o frame skipping and allowing repeated fast inputs. maybe marvel is just too demanding for an online game…

the nulldc crew should offer a special emulator with better net coding to make the fighters as playable as possible.

oh, so it skips inputs? my bads, then i just mistook that for lag. It seemed as though I’d have to do a hadouken with qcf+p,p and it would SOMETIMES come out. I felt like a Chinese player. Anyway, I was trying CvS2 over a LAN at work, 100Mbps, and It was acting up.

arite so, i have read abosultely no prior posts so if sumone already asked what im about to ask sue me hate me flame w.e. But anyways, i run the emulator flawlessly and i can play everything from jojos --> 3rd strike --> cvs2 perfectly with nothing less then 60 fps. but for some weird reason, its not that bad but, the sprites in all the 2d fighters are kind of . . . liney ?? they all look like they are split into grids (it doesnt look that bad, but if u pay attention u notice it, especially in movement). Any ideas on whats the deal with that ?? any help there ?

Never used the emulator, but have seen that happen with other emulators before, have you tried messing with the video modes? (If there are any.) Sometimes it can just be the configuration.

Sir PSycho: I already mentioned that issue. Turn Anti Aliasing on your video card OFF. They will look normal on that.

I got a blue screen in Marvel yesterday too. I dunno what happened.

lol well thank you mixah =]

noob Ummm how do i run games?

How do I load VMU save files?

I wouldn’t bother even trying the netplay right now. Even the developers mentioned, “Remember there are MANY problems and it will more than likely not work”. Just wait for the next release of the plugin and probably the next release of nullDC as well if you want to see some good results.

Alright, noob question…got nullDC up and running just fine, but can you play offline multiplayer or is it limited to online?

You can play offline or online, just like a normal DC.

Psychic Force 2012 is not working correctly : /

MvC2 has a weird issue… I was on the factory stage… I was in the P1 corner, and I went with Sentinel to bone wolverine, hk, sj, lk, fly (i missed the ffly), wolverine grabbed me and threw me… and the two just stayed there with wolverein about to stab me… and nothing happened.

Macbook or macbook pro for nulldc?

I want to purchase that a laptop that will run nulldc flawlessy, but I’m on a tight budget, so I’m willing to purchase either of the two (while using windows) as long as either one allows me to run the following games perfectly: MVC2, SFA 3 (when it becomes playable), and CVS2. I know there are other factors to consider, such as update improvements, but I would like something that will guarantee success.
Which one should I buy:
Macbook Specs:
Processor: 2.0GHz or 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor
Cache: 4MB shared L2 cache running at full processor speed, 667MHz frontside bus
Ram: 1GB (two 512MB SO-DIMMs) of 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM (PC2-5300); two SODIMM slots support up to 2GB
Video Memory: Intel GMA 950 graphics processor with 64MB of DDR2 SDRAM shared with main memory
Price: $1400(Will this suffice?)

Macbook Pro:
Processor: 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 4MB on-chip shared L2 cache running 1:1 with processor speed
Ram: 2GB (two SO-DIMMs) of PC2-5300 (667MHz) DDR2 memory; two SO-DIMM slots support up to 4GB
800MHz frontside bus
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics processor with 256MB of GDDR3 SDRAM on 2.4GHz configuration Price: $2400(Theoretically shouldn’t this run like a dream?)

For the macbook pro, I have the option of having a 128MB video card. BTW will the macbook (regular) be enough?

just got NullDC and i had to re-download the mvc2 iso after months of frustration with chankast…

and im very suprised at how fast nullDC is running and nearly perfect emulation.

i also had to download xpadder to work with my fighting stick 3.

the specs im running is athlon 64 x2 dual core 4400~
2 gig ram
nvidia 7800 gt x2 in sli mode.
windows vista ultimate.

i had a webcam and decided to use my laptop to film what i was doing. it was quick test run and so the quality is grainy and what not.:lovin:

again if anyone have questions aim me at daXchunjae02

is there anyway for me to run cvs2/mvc2 flawlessly on my piece of crap machine? im running:

1.7P4
1gig ram
nvidia5900 (overclocked)

because when i start it up it runs fine at 60+ fps. but when i get into gameplay it drops to a sad 20 fps or less. suggestions? besides getting a new computer, which i am, but the shipping got fucked so i have to wait another week and a half ><

I can’t get NullDC to work for the hell of me

nope.

what’s wrong?

From a different thread

what’s your system specs? to me it sounds like you’re missing some files for the emu. the plug ins do not come with the program.

Well that plugin is in the plugin folder but won’t load.

My specs…not so good I suppose

umm
2g RAM
Intel Core Duo CPU 1.86ghz and 1.87ghz
Display adapter type: Mobile Intel® 945GM Express Chipset Family
Total available graphics memory 224 MB
Dedicated graphics memory 0 MB
Dedicated system memory 32 MB
Shared system memory 192 MB

Is that what you were asking for? I need a graphics card don’t I?
