NEW DreamCast Emulator: nullDC v1.0.0 Beta (Runs games at FULL SPEED!)

???

omg you have no idea how much i love you now…:lovin:

Hmmmm… I think you might. Have you tryed running it with the chankast plug ins? (Basically like running in chankast)

I scrapped Null DC and get MVC2 running fairly smooth (except for the 3D intensive stages) on my crappy laptop. Oh and Chankast EX might help you as it did me. :wgrin:

what’s chankast? is it harder to use than null?

does null dc have netplay that works well yet?
i had tried that hookjoy shit when it came out but that shit is garbage

Chankast is another dreamcast emulator. It’s not all that different from Null DC. It runs without the graphics card that Null DC needs. You need Daemon tools to run it.

Chankast EX is a version that runs run a tad faster.

Google it. And read up on it.

i dont know if someone even cares about it, but you can get to work NullDc on IntelGPU. NullDC crashes on those system, because it needs Hardware Transform&Lighting on the GPU.
Solution: Download 3D-Analyze (google is your friend),run it, check the “emulate HW TnL caps” and run NullDc. You have to use nulldc graphic plugin, chankast will nor work. Worked for my notebook with MobileIntel 915GM.

Performance Increase:
-run in Fullscreen
-Chankast audio plugin
-no other software in background
-disable “Versioned Textures”

red.

i have a modded original xbox i was curious since its linux based, if i could just save the files on to a cdr and just install them via linux on the box?

wow with that, that’s the closest I’ve come to actually playing it! but still failure.

It’s way to fast, and then too slow at parts (like actual gameplay) also how would I use VMS/DCI saves?

Also I have my custom marvel ISO, how can I play that?

i’m gonna have to try mvc2 with 3dAnalyze. hope it doesn’t run too fast though! man this thing needs a frame limiter. :frowning:

edit:
ah snap. it seems to start loading the plugins but then the NullDC windows just disappear. followed all your settings, too. :frowning:

i downloaded and installed this version; “nulldc_100b1_6.exe”.
then i downloaded; TDC_Final_v2_-_Dreamcast_Street_Fighter_Compilation. (CD).
after configuring my stick and starting CvS2 on my computer it seems to run perfect. the game is tho (at standard speed) abit to fast, just go to options and decrease the gamespeed by one star, and that is pretty much the normal speed

the only thing left is how to play it in online play vs. other ppl. i heared the “network play” or whatever its called in CvS2 main menu doesnt work, so you have to get this “hookjoy” which i dont know what kind of program it is, if its even good and how to hook it up with CvS2 in nulldc…but im sure gonna get this working asap! 8)

If someone could point me to where I can find this “hookjoy”, I’d be much obliged.

I really want to get my NullDC running for network play.

edit Nevermind found it. Gonna get it working now

edit2 Got it working after much trouble, and had my hopes for MvC2 online matches this afternoon crushed. GG, I’ll be waiting for the better version

whaaaaaaaat?! cmon man gief info! where to get hookjay and how to hook it up with nulldc…!!

bump !

I got the hook2joy software too but I dunno how to set it up

Does this emulator have a frameskip/fast forward button like the ps1 emulators?

That is probably happening because you’re using Null video plugin with the Chankast sound plugin. When i use those two plugins together, the video can go beyond 100% speed, making it go faster. When i use the Null video plugin with the Null sound plugin it never goes beyond 100%, so i get perfect speeds.

Try that and see if it works.

yo this shit is whack. there are “dropped inputs”. its very hard to combo into anything…EVEN for me(even though I am so used to lag from playing on xbl). its like mugen lol…

lol. i told you. It’s not worth using unless the person you’re playing is in the same state and has a really good connection

So how do I play with my PSX usb converter (its a SmartJoy one)? I tried key2joy(?) and it didnt work for me.

have you tried xpadder? i find it much easier to use than joy2key.
