Another volume of the Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney manga hits comic book stores next week!

My LCS got the Garbage Pail Kids book that comes out next week a bit early so I got to check it out early. Wow, it has like pictures of all the cards from 1985 - 1986! Yep that’s how I spent my childhood. Trading these cards and gambling them away by flipping coins. A pretty big surprise that Art Spiegelman of MAUS fame was involved with this card set, which was basically a parody of the Cabbage Patch kids. Very cool!

And now it’s time once again for a conversation that can’t happen in real life!

“Aye you Sano! I just saw John Carter because my homeboy Taylor Kitsch is in it. I had to see it because he played Gambit in the Wolverine movie and I’ve been a Gambit fan ever since I played X-Men vs. Street Fighter. First he charge de card and den he blow it up! Ha ha ha where do they come up with this stuff?”

“Anyway, I loved John Carter but I hear it only made 30 million but cost 250 million to make. So it doesn’t seem like a sequel is likely. But man, I want to find out what happens next! Guess I’m off to the bookstore to check out a long headed book…”

WABAAM! You can just pick up Marvel’s John Carter God of Mars #1 that picks up right where the movie left off!

“That’s awesome man! I really hope they manage to sneak in an image of Anakaris’ head on Mars in the comic just like I saw in his ending in Capcom Fighting Evolution! That would be like OMG TEH ROXORS!”

KILL BILL LUCY LIU: Did you think Sano would avoid Capcom references in his fake conversation even if the topic had nothing to do with Capcom AT ALL?
KILL BILL UMA THURMAN: You know what? For a second there… Yeah, I did.

 Have a great weekend everybody! Got my tickets to the Avengers movie premiere in May already WORD!

SHUMA-GORATH: I’VE BEEN LOVING THE INFESTATION 2 SERIES AND I DUG READING UP ON MY FELLOW LOVECRAFTIAN TENTACLED BROTHERS, WHAT’S GOOD! THE LAST ISSUE COMES OUT NEXT WEEK AND I DON’T KNOW WHAT I’LL READ AFTER THAT. MAYBE I’LL CHECK OUT MEGA MAN’S COMIC SINCE HE WAS PRETTY CHILL DURING MARVEL VS. CAPCOM 2. I WAS HOPING TO RUN ACROSS HIM DURING ULTIMATE MARVEL VS. CAPCOM 3 BUT I GOT BEATEN UP BY HSIEN-KO EARLY ON. THANKS ‘INVADERS NOW!’ FOR LETTING EVERYONE KNOW THAT I’M WEAK AGAINST GHOSTS! I’M A SAD SHUMA…

MEGA MAN: Thanks for the support Mr. Shuma-Gorath! Sorry I couldn’t make it into Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. It took a really long time for Dr. Light to convert me back into Bad Box Art mode just like you’ve seen in the gag comic of the first issue of the Mega Man comic. By the time he was finished the MvC3 / UMvC3 games were over and I was ready for Street Fighter x Tekken. I did get to cameo in a few endings for the Marvel series though at least! Anyway SRK members be sure to check out Mega Man issue 12 next week to follow the adventures of the world’s greatest super fighting robot!

**TADAKATSU HONDA: **…

**MEGA MAN: **Hey, who’s this guy? Is he staring me down because he thinks he’s a better fighting robot than I am? I mean, or are you even a robot, a cyborg or… Just what is your deal?

**TADAKATSU HONDA: **…

**MEGA MAN: **Hmm looks like he’s not talking. Maybe I’ll learn more about him if I read the **Sengoku Basara Samurai Legends Vol. 1 **manga that comes out next week!

Next issue of Mega Man teleports on down next week! :cybot:

Pretty big week with Before Watchmen and Spider-Men starting. Personally I don’t have much interest in either but I’m curious about Spider-Men so I’ll give it a shot. :wonder:

More Spider-Man Ends of the Earth in ASM!

BTW, the TPB for Battle Scars drops next week. Just in case you have trouble wrapping your head around how Crimson Viper’s ending in MvC3 / UMvC3 is even possible when the game is supposed to be representing a 616-ish universe and not an Ultimate-ish one… Eeeeh just read Battle Scars! :looney:

Sorry about the late update this week. Last few days were pretty insane for me with a toe injury, running a marathon with the toe injury like a dummy, hitting up two parties, and having to work non stop beyond overtime on Friday and other stuff. It would pobably make a good comic book story in itself.

Looks like there’s going to be a gay wedding in this week’s Astonishing X-Men. My LCS is having two actual weddings on the same day in store. Go Marvel!
