oh i had the same problem as well! after months of failing, i found out that u have to :qcf::k::qcf::k:
I’m guessing both of you play on pad, because you in no way need to start the super motion before you hit cr.mk to hit confirm that.
Did I say it was a link at all? No. I said you don’t need to START the motion BEFORE hitting cr.mk. You hit cr.mk and begin the motion at the same time, if it hits, you finish the motion and hit the buttons for super.
What I usually do is drum the kicks when I hitconfirm cr.MKxxSA2. It’s useful for links and late cancels, but in Chun’s case QCF+K,QCF+K might be easier if you can’t grind the two QCFs fast enough or have an itchy pinky. :x
Hey. I 'm not necessarily new to Chun, but I’d like to level up my skills with her. So let the questions begin.
-What are her okizemi options in 3s? I’d like to play a pressure Chun if possible.
-How do you do her kara throw?
-Her sggk on pad (and what the heck does this stand for?)
-common counters? I hear she has an excellent counter game.
-also air to air and anit air.
does cl.HK xx SA2 require special timing or inputs? i can’t seem to get it working
cl.HK is not cancellable alone, you must superjump cancel to be able to super.
Basically, you do cl.HK then do QCF followed by a tiger knee motion (2369) then activate SA with a kick if cl.HK has hit.
Counting down the days till 3S:OE.
I main Chun and a little Ibuki in the sf4 series so I definately want to learn her in 3S
Like a few other fellow members I’m completely new to 3S and will no doubt start in the trials/challenge mode to get going but was wondering if any of you will be on the PS3?
I will be, Rayartz. What is your PSN ID?
Awesome!
PSN ID is Rayartz
Have you played 3S before? really hoping to find an experienced Chun player that wouldn’t mind actually teaching me stuff as opposed to just kicking my ass and tell me generic things.
but totally add me up dude, I’m played SSF4 for the last time tonight, lol. New-old-hotness to play, lol.
Hey guys. I’m having trouble with Chun trial 2 with the super jump. Anyone else having trouble with this? I actually do the combo but I don’t get success from the game. I land the double fierce in the air but my super jump doesn’t register in the combo. What’s going on?
Edit: lol I just figured it out… My buttons were in the wrong place. Was using X3 punch and I didn’t know.
How are chun’s LLs used in this game? I come from ST, and comparatively, the range and priority sucks. is it even used at all? I keep end up whiffing and eating something big. or is it just as simple as having to compensate by standing closer or whatever?
Imo her lighting legs are only good after her SA2 mixup sitaution (like walking forward and then LL) but I’m not that good at the game.
yeah lightning legs is great post sa2 mixup. its safe unless your predictable and get parried, and a blocked or hit LL will give you a nice bit of meter.
always use RH for lightning legs.
its really not like ST lightning legs to be honest. you cant just throw it out and hit limbs or something like that (think of chun vs boxer)
vs someone who is jumping in (usually dudley) and is trying to parry anything you do, you can do back fierce RH lightning legs. to do this just mash taunt while holding the back direction button, taunt wont come out.
EX Lightning legs can be used very rarely when your waking up, but only to mix it up if your opponent thinks youre gonna do ex sbk.
lightning legs is good, but it in a completely different way than ST, and i would guess sf4.
In sf4, chun li has a normal crossup, does she have one in 3s? I tried all of her jumping normals, none of them seemed to work. in sf4 its jf.lk
and im not talking about her command crossup
No, Chun does not have a crossup. Jumping should be done extremely sporadically with Chun anyway. She has by far and away the strongest ground game, so jumping only makes her a weaker character. I generally only jump when going for air-to-air AA situations, or vs tall characters like Hugo or Q.
What’s the best poke to use in this situation? Personally, have had the best success with :uf::mk:, but I’d like to know if I could be doing something better.
FP FP or headstomp. headstomp is great to land air to air, theres a few tricky cross ups you can do afterwards.
I also really like to use neutral j.rh (aka spread eagle). When used early it is great for keeping people from jumping out of the corner.
How do I deal with Remys that LoV all day, and throw like crazy. I can sometimes read the low LoV and st.RH but the throwing is killing me.
