If they can improve it like they have always done on their second tries (SF1->SF2, DarkStalkers->VampireSavior, MvC->MvC2, CvS->CvS2, etc.), CFJ2 could actually be a fun game.

Powerstone 3 would be awsome, but highly unlikely for arcade. All Capcom confirmed that they’re showing is a competitive action game, it might not even be a fighting game but something to mess with our heads.
Rival Schools 3 would be the best 3d option!

actually, Vampire Savior is the 3rd try. Vampire Hunter would be the second.
I might be the only one, but I’d really enjoy a new Vampire game. I mean, finishing the series with VS2/VH2? hell no, sequel needed.
That’s what I was thinking, too, after I read IGN’s article. This might not even be a fighting game. I would love to see a new fighter, but I don’t want to get my hopes up and then not even see a fighting game.
CFJ2 might not be so bad, as long as they put more time into it.
What i’m hoping for is cvs3 or something.
Also, i don’t care about the sprites TOO much as long as it’s on par with cvs2 or perhaps a little better. If not, as long as it doesn’t look like shit that is all i ask for in terms of graphics. Fuck the graphic whores.
I mainly just want a fighting game that has variety, which is why i like cvs2, each groove gives players different options and ish.
And yea it’s not gonna be mvc3 so no worries about that. I would shoot myself if it was though.
CFE2 could and probably would be shitty, but it would be easier to swallow if they put in an assload of characters instead of pulling that BS like they did the first go-round.

I’m hoping for a brand new game. All 2d, all new characters. No fucked up amalgems of old games, no revisions to old games, no new version of street fighter. The street fighter brand name should take at least a four more year hiatus so there will be ten years between SF4 and Third strike.
The Capcom reps mentioned during the Street Fighter panel at the San Diego Comic-Con this year that they were working on – and I quote – ‘something’, but steadfastly refused to elaborate any further than that. Personally, I’ve been wondering if it might be WarZard/Red Earth, but who knows?
IMO, it doesn’t matter what it’s going to be: regardless of Capcom’s choice, somebody’s going to bitch about it – title, character cast and all.
