Lol hold up, i never said that KOF XII isn’t HD, so we’re not at the same page. I still think its the most impressive 2d fighter of all, and looks absolutely beautiful in the HD Cabinet they have at arcades.
People are trying to make this sound like a technical issue when its an art direction issue. They wanted their game to look the way it does because thats their style. Thats pretty much the middle point of the whole thing.
Every KOF released on consoles in the last years had filters option, yet didn’t have any on the arcade version. KOF XII didn’t do anything new, so the real question is, why would they remove a staple feature in the KOF console ports?
And didn’t some Capcom games have optional filters too? I fail to see your point.
cool… so since you see right through the cheapness move on with your life, go play something else, and do yourself a favor and ignore any KOF threads…you will be happier and everyone else will be as well… it’s win win
Let’s take a short break and get real about this relationship. Snk isn’t your friend or a group of distant pals. They’re a company that makes a product. No different than than anything else you own. Capcom isn’t your big brother, Arcs isn’t a family friend. They are corporations. Even wee tiny arcs sucks down about 700 million a year. They make ‘products’. You give these products your support with your money. That is the bottom line here. Do this or don’t, but don’t invest yourself emotionally to the point that you lose track of the bigger picture. If Snk had a guarantee that they’d sell X amount of copies by selling a ps1 polygon fighter they’d do it. Think about that a tiny bit before you shout down someone you’ve never met over the artistic integrity that Kyo’s jaggy fireball represents.
