The original had a comfortable zoning game but now due to battle fields being bigger and double jumps. The zoning in this game seems very different.

One of the weird changes to me was how air attacks were handled.
In ABK, you could do stuff like j.A and whiff a bunch of j.As. After a j.A that whiffs, you might even do something completely different, like reflector, command normal, air throw, j.C whatever.
In this one, after you whiff that one j.A… that’s all you get for that jump.
Pounding the A button will go into a specified chain combo, often ending with some knockdown or other attack with lengthy recovery (as opposed to just being rapid fire jabs). So that means it’s quite a bit more difficult to get that dozens-of-hits combo made of mostly jabs on Blitztank.
it also means you can’t just mash 2A to hit confirm into a combo because generally after the 2nd or 3rd one, youre not gonna be able to chain into something that gives you good damage.

I really like this series, I have the 2nd version released for Naomi and it’s damn good even with censoring. Too bad they took it in the Loli-sparkle direction with the 3rd game.
With the next release of Demul and if the netcode is improved I hope we can at least get some online interest going.
I’m also annoyed that they’ve completely ignored the Western market. Shit man, even Pedo Fighter 3 aka Arcana Heart has been released here. Why not this game? I’d loveto see it released on Steam.

The first game was terrible. Akatsuki wasn’t any good until Blitzkampf.
