It’d be pretty tight if it wasn’t so facebook-y too! Make the info the focus, not so much the players. While the site is there for the players, we don’t want to lose focus of the game and how to play it well by keeping our sights on always improving on the next “big thing” in regards to strat. Let’s focus on tech instead and then just give credit to the players that used it, at the end.
I really dislike coming onto srk and having to look at pictures of tokido/daigo/mike ross all the time and not knowing what’s being written about within outside of the fact that it involves them. Leaves me real far out of the loop because I don’t give a fuck about any of those dudes and then later hearing there was some super-sick-only-used-one-time strat mentioned in one of those articles.
I can contribute in many ways as well. Soon I will become a regular at Watson’s arcade (AKA SUPER ARCADE)
Hi again and thank you guys for showing interest. My motive behind creating this site is to give the 3s fans a dedicated super site that will compile all the scatter information into a single space. I have a lot of great ambitions with this site, Id like to have articles, exclusive video content, online streamed tournaments and just about anything to help us get the site hyped and into people’s minds again. Id like get things moving and the idea ball rolling so add me on facebook https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=511682021 so that we can start putting things into motion. Any help is appreciated and Id like people who can contribute mainly with content, thanks again:)
I’m so-so on this. It reminds me of SRK’s home page that acts like a blog which actually keeps me up to date, but I’m afraid the site would lose focus. Maybe not. As long as there’s an easy way to access character specific info.
EDIT: I guess it would help to have a MEGA site to help us know when the arcades around the world are scheduling their streams. That’s part of the reason I checked into GGPO even when I couldn’t play.
even tho i think this would be a good idea. the fact remains that the srk wiki already exists. if ur gonna make a new 3s website based on a wiki, you should just contribute to the srk wiki and possibly redirect your domain to the srk’s wiki. To be quite honest, I really have my doubts about this website because it’s such a big project and big claim. But I’m still willing to help build the website (very experienced) and will host it for free (for life).
I like the WoW site’s format, but that obviously has ten years of work on it. If this 3S site has to start bare bones, so be it. Give me the content first. I’ll make it pretty by beasting at the game.
I am also another fan of the stream schedule. It would be hard to have one person look up the world’s different sites in different languages.
i like 100% of this post. the website could be the official 3rd strike tournament site. if op is srs about the site, we can get the site up today (depending on when he pms me back). hyped about this site. if all goes well, this should be a sick project.
obviously more serious than the OP becuz he hasnt responded to my PM. I offered to host the website for free, so that should tell u im pretty serious. if this website became big, it would be a huge name to add to my portfolio.
OP if ur gonna buy a domain, buy it at www.namecheap.com. Free whois protection (which is very important) and its only $8-10 yearly. ill host it for free (for life) and will make interested srk members staff on the website so they can freely edit the website.
I already put research into the website and can make it similar to the www.gamespot.com layout but optimized for just being third strike. it can have video of the day (hopefully be affiliated with option-select like what was mentioned before), tournaments, guides, the whole 9 yards. hopefully this site could be the website to go to for information and tournaments. really looking foward to making this man. leggo
This. I like the idea of redparry.net. Then again, I’m the trainee, so take my opinion however you want…
EDIT: I also do enjoy the idea of naming it after an attack (like SRK). geneijin.com is open, though that’s probably a rough one to get people to remember.
Hello folks, just as a fyi I work odd hours but I do check this thread hourly and even if I dont respond to all the pms or this thread that doesnt mean i have not read or seen the suggestions. Rest assured that me and my friend are serious and that we are moving forward, its a big project with huge ambition so it will take time but I promise it will become a reality. Now we are filling positions on the site and I would like to know who can fill in the following positions:
Forums: We need people as mods who can watch over the forums.
Main site: People who can update the news feed and blogs.
Aritcles: People who write over the competitive aspects of the community and offer insight over the game.
Character sections: People who can help with character specific sections and post strats, frame data and all that good stuff:
Media: Somone who can help with the tournament and match archives, id personally like if shend can let us use his video archive. Also people who can help create exclusive content such as "how to"and help with the streaming and uploading new tournament footage.
Web design: Thankfully I have a good offer from black but if anyone has any experience that would like to contribute let us know.
PR: People who can spread the word about the site and help us get exposure, networking essentially:
I also will want to create a facebook page, youtube channel and down the line exlusive online money tournaments. Thanks again for the interest and I promise to do as good of a job as I can:)
