Would it be a terrible idea to pitch empires’ ideas to the guy who runs thirdstrikeonline? Whoever he is, he wants to do something for the third community and I don’t see why you guys couldn’t join forces and better eachothers visions. Empire has great ideas, and that website already has a great name and design. Cheers.
I dont have a issue wih affiliates but I think the intentions of that site and our own is very different, if he is interested in helping we can maybe work something out so sure let him know.
I like the oro logo but I have to say that I am little bit surprised to see nobody thinking about a logo integrating a char. with a parry movement. what about ken parrying the point of the i letter?
I like the oro, but the splat reminds me too much of SF4. I always associate fire with the 3S logo and splatter with SF4 logo.
For the R in Empire just to Urien losing via time limit.

some more. I’m really just trying to promote more ideas, I know it doesn’t say 3rd Empire, but the direction is what I’m more interested in. Besides, I’ve never seen a 3S logo and I wanna make one. Maybe it can be useful to someone. Also, the black BG can be transparent for easy overlay. I thought 3S could use an introduction into the 21st century.
Guys forget about the website’s logo. We need a graphic designer who can create a background for the site. If you want your design to be on the site, please create a background with the dimensions of width1440 x height 830. The design should flow into a 000000 color black so the page can be stretched as long as we need without the background being affected. See this picture as a reference.

It would be awesome if he would help us modify his script. I would really love to incorporate his website’s setup of the character select and sprite display. Instead of having a bunch of tables that run on for pages like the wiki.srk, we would have one standard sized table that shows every characters’ moves at the top every character’s page.

I just redid all of the portrait pictures. Thanks to Fade, I found all of the original sources for the pics for better picture quality. There is still a lot to do with the wiki, though. If people could fill in info, that would be great.
I haven’t followed this thread at all so I don’t know who is responsible for what but whoever is working on this wiki should make sure they know the source of the info. The demon flip mixup section is copy pasted from a post I made on SRK years ago, with no credit to me. It doesn’t bother me, but I know a lot of people who would be really annoyed with this kind of thing, and that kind of reaction could really hurt your site in the long run. Just a heads up, if your content is copy pasted you should make sure you get some permission from who originally wrote it.

Obviously I have lost interest, as I haven’t updated the site in years! But i’d be happy to share some of the php scripts and javascripts that I did for the site with anyone that is interested. The legacy should continue on, it’s bad to have the site so stagnant. Email me or send me a private message, those of you who are coding the new site, and I’d be happy to share what I’ve developed. The script I’m especially proud of is the ‘colorswap.php’, which looks up actual palette tables from the game files and applies them to the gifs on the fly. It is a very messy, brute-force code but I’m sure a good programmer out there could make heads or tails of it and optimize it to run really well. The character select is just a simple javascript. But I’m so out of the web game, I’m sure there are cool apps out there these days that make animation a lot nicer, such as google’s web toolkit or others.

Black, Excel, Fade, & I thought that simply copy pasting SRK’s unfinished wiki would give us a good backbone on the “How To” section of the cite. As things go forward, we hope we can make things easier to read & give credit where credit is due. Whoever was active with the old SRK wiki also cited Pyrolee & Croyd in the Yun section, but the original posts sometimes go undocumented.
It’s great that you noticed your own post =D Please message me which section and where! If you can find the original post here on the forums, I’ll make sure to cite it or at least give kudos to whomever wrote it. If you’re feeling tech-savvy with wiki, definitely take it into your own hands to edit the section. This is a community project for the 3S community. We (world-wide) provided most of the common information, & we are responsible for CAPCOM’s rebirth of 3S. Definitely give it a go to make things right!

Guys I moved to my university 2 days ago and my internet still isnt working. I have been unable to work on the website because of it (web based on joomla), however my internet should be fixed today so I will try to work on it. I guarantee that it will be up by game launch tho so please bear with me.

It took two years for the community to figure out Yun’s potential was almost broken. Give the website some time. If the content and activity finds a strong foundation, the support will come pouring in. Right now, we already have 2 or 3 people willing to post something up. Why don’t we try one of those as for the time being? We can always upgrade it.
Guys since I have limited time to work on the site right now (still don’t have proper internet in my dorm), I can finish the framework for the site and set the Fight Your Rival system to later. I will give certain people in this thread (excel, munchkin, fade out) access to the site so they can work on the site while im gone. Does this sound good to u guys?
