should i post that the ls60 is a bad valentine’s day gift? lol
I don’t know what you mean, it makes an excellent butt plug.
Maybe is new microswith?why there is no LS-60-01?
Fighting tool for shooter!
If the ls-32-01-s is nothing more than the ls-36 mod I’ll actually be quite happy as that is almost the perfect seimitsu stick.
It’s just a LS-32 with shaftcover…
In first page : “LS-32-01-S = LS-32-01 but with dedicated shaftcover - 2014.3 release”

I have to admit, I’m a little disappointed too been contemplating trying a Seimitsu stick and have been reluctant since ive been waiting for this announcement and now feel like it was just a waste of time…
Although I have to say, that fighting edge looks hot haha
i forgot to include @PCBSHOP_TRY’s (twitter) impressions on the LS-60, as he was there on JAEPO.
LS-60 that has softer operation feel than LS-58 is coming soon. Tried to use it, was really light! But, the microSW clicks have a more distinct feel!
now we dont know if its just a spring mod or if it really has harder micros. if the latter is the case, they they really are aiming for direct copy of the JLF.
So, now we know it isn’t a silent LS-58?
It’s clearly new microswitch.
Guess I’ll have to figure out how to get a Hayabusa to Ireland.
If you figure it out, let me know!
Indeed, all it looks like to me is that they most likely couldn’t get a softer stick by lowering the spring tension so it’s probably a LS-58 spring plus a 80 to 100 gram switch. Usually it’s 160. Anything lower for spring tension is going to kill the stick. You can lower the switches though, I’ve done it. On the other hand, it’s a bad move, because it still kills how snappy the stick feels. I played on it a while and I had to compensate the lower tension with more spring tension which does not work well with the pivot so I had to go back to the higher tension switches.
The LS-60 so far is the lamest excuse for a new stick I’ve seen, lol. Even Sanwa is trying new stuff, and that’s respectable.
Sanwa is? Did I miss something and am late to the party?
On the other hand seimitsu lost a ton of brownie points… they’re trying to fix something that wasn’t really broken (until the LS-58, but that’s my opinion). Man they need to just go balls deep and try something in a new direction.
Sanwa has a new magnetic stick line coming out. It was at JAEPO. Oh, plus clear bat tops. I mean, you never see a Japanese company doing bat top bling, that’s insane!

@Moonchilde - How much tension did you find was too much on LS-58/56? You think it’s only 80-100g switches that they’re going to for the 60? I like the feel of Cherry reds on joysticks and they are much lighter than that. I used a 3lb spring on a JLF with reds and it feels ok. I have also been happy with 3lb tension on LS-56 for quite a while but I’ve never tried any type of switch swap on a 56 or gone any higher than a 3lb spring.
@iNENDOi 3 lbs was too much on the 56. I was using 100 gram Omron switches and it felt ok at first but after a week I didn’t like it. It felt like the parts were stressing too much and felt grindy. It didn’t really feel any snappier and I didn’t like the grinding feeling I was getting. Movement was not smooth at all, I can’t really explain other than I think as you move the stick and the tension gets greater the pivot shape gets more uncomfortable as it moves. I do not like the 56 pivot. 4 lbs it got worse and 5 lbs was ridiculous. More more tension I put on it, the more grindy it felt. I think it was more noticeable with lower force switches because they weren’t contributing to the over all tension of the stick, so the grinding became more apparent. IMO it’s the pivot and the little red plastic spring flange. The flange does not seem to operate as smoothly against the plastic body as other sticks I’ve used and then there is the pivot which also doesn’t turn as smoothly in the cam housing.
The LS-40 does not have those issues and it’s a fully different design when it comes to pivot and spring flange. The spring flange has a sturdy feel to it and smoothly slides across the LS-40 body and obviously the pivot has smoother operation as it turns in the cam housing.
Keep in mind though I had an aluminum bat top on it so I needed the extra tension to help with the extra weight it was throwing around. With a normal plastic ball top I actually thought the 56 felt fine as default, default spring and default switches. It wasn’t until I got the aluminum tops that I felt it needed to be balanced with extra tension. I also thought with extra tension I would want softer switches but some of the snappy feeling gets lost with softer switches even when increasing the tension of the spring.
I have also not tried a higher tension spring for the LS-40, but when they come out, I will.
JLF seems to work ok with low force switches and spring mods, maybe because of the pivot. It’s a much more smoother operating stick, but sadly the engage and throw is pretty bad on it. It was also snappier than the 56. This was with plastic parts though. I’m under firm belief the extra snap back to neutral was because of the pivot, not any other reason. It was the most major design difference between the two sticks when it comes to physical functionality.
Anyway, I think it’s 80 to 100 gram switches they’re going with because after my experience, anything less with a LS-58 spring is not going to be a pleasant experience to play on. I mean, it will work, but it will be even less snappy than a JLF because while the JLF has a loose feeling to it, the switches are still 150 to 160 gram switches. And don’t even think about putting aluminum on it.
I feel like I saw that joystick before… or maybe just the concept of it… oh well I can’t seem to remember. Was this the first reveal or has this been in the works for a bit? My (horrible) memory seems to think it’s the latter cuz I swear I’ve seen that before.
But clear bat tops? That’s pretty sick! Now LEDs+Bat tops are a reality! Well at least without having to make your own mold for a bat top. I think phreakazoid was the one to do that, but if I’m wrong someone please correct me.
