Netcode

Really disapointed in the net code audio glitch aside I have been playing with my bro how is across the street and online is not on par with street ae or m vs cap and it’s not good at all

I play mostly on a T1 line at work. This game’s online is ASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

The netcode is easily better than AE or MVC. Anyone who says otherwise probably isn’t used to the game even in offline play.

I can’t believe the netcode is this sloppy, after UMVC3 and SFIV. Is the fixed netcode also locked away on the disc?

That’s mighty presumptuous of you.

  1. Obviously I am good at the game I am Combo Beast (3rd best in europe)
  2. My internet is flawless (unlike this game)

this troll is simply delicious.

You suck, stop lying.

I am not lying go check the leaderboards on xbox live

You are the 3rd highest ranked player on xbox live in europe not the 3rd best if you were any good you’d be 1st considering the game’s not even out in Europe for 3 more days.

Now please stop filling this thread that is supposed to be about the netcode with your drivel

He’ll fall down the leaderboards on release day, then he will suck because the leaderboards said so.

Leaderboards don’t mean shit. Live’s leaderboards can easily be manipulated

You guys are missing the point I am not taking it off topic just answering back to the rollback boys.

The rollback boys are trying to say that if you don’t think this is better than street fighter 4 online it meens you are either bad at the game or your lagging.

I just posted my ping and my leaderboard position to prove that I am niether bad at the game or have bad internet.

But if you want to flame at me go ahead and help the rollback boys out and maybe they can keep making more ggpo rollback crap in the future.

i’m just curious as to why the reviews for this netcode are so mixed.

i was watching someone stream this on twitch and he decided to test the netcode for a while. he hosted a room, playing about 15 different people, then gave his opinions of the connection after every match. he pretty much kept saying the code was way better than sf4. and from what i could tell just from witnessing it, it seemed better too. no slow down or anything like that…only thing was the audio glitch. he even said he played someone on a 1 bar connection and it was better than any 1 bar he’d ever played in any game period.

so this got me wondering…perhaps this game is based around who hosts the lobby more than sf4 was?

The people streaming have been working for capcom same as most the other reviewers that say its godlike online

I also think this glory guy is working for capcom

I don’t think it is based on the host from what I’ve seen.

Honestly I think people are having perception issues right now due to sound being gone. It really does make you think it’s laggy because I felt like the online sucked the first time I played it too, but then I realized I haven’t had any issues doing 1-2 frame links as well as punishing on reaction.

caliagent#3 and I have both played fighters online for over a decade now and we generally have an accurate opinion on netcodes. I’m telling everyone that the netcode is easily better than AE or MVC3. Anyone who says otherwise probably isn’t used to the game itself yet.

I have been playing SFIV: AE for the past week up until the release of this. I had a bit of lag here and there, nothing huge or gamebreaking, and it was usually smooth as butter, certainly nothing that I had to quit due to lag. After hitting up training mode last night and today I went and played my first game online. It was so unplayable I dashboarded. Seriously one of the worst online experiences ever. I thought people were trolling but damn it’s just not even worth playing.

I trust in 2003.

Over someone, say Saturday or 2012. But realtalk… they should have a input delay slider, if only for endless rooms.

 SMOOTH AS BUTTER

I am playing some smooth as butter matches on the PC version of AE right now. It’s so much fun. I think you guys should join me.

EDIT:
I only wish that the login for this forum could be SMOOTH AS BUTTER so that I could actually post about how SMOOTH AND BUTTERY this SF4 netcode is.
Somone in Finland is in my Endless lobby trying to get some of that butter. I can’t wait.

Except the twelve on disc dlc character’s locked away for when the vita version hit’s retail and that version has all extra 12 unlocked while ps3, 360 and pc got to pay to play.
