Another Edit (August 14)

Biggest edit of all! (August 31)

a week to hear an announcement, so they can tell you that they are working on it officially lol, fuck that, maybe I can pretend I bought my copy from wal mart and trade it in for something else.

Better than a week of hearing you whine about it.

Well… it’s … something? I guess?

The “announcement” will probably be “We’re working on a patch to improve problems that SOME users are experiencing. We’ll update more when we’re ready to release it (never).”

Played some offline with a friend today. Even being new to KoF it was a blast to play against him. The mechanics are really really good. An adequate netcode would really put this over the top for me and make it my primary fighter for quite some time.

I really hope that they have something solid to say, but if they are ‘announcing an announcement’ I hope that means its something important.

Fingers crossed for a date for the next patch and that this is the ‘Big’ patch that should fix things. I’m sure they’ve seen the overwhelming negative feedback most places have given this game, so I hope they pull out all the stops to cut their losses now.

+Rep lol.

Man at this point I’m just pleased to hear about a company working post release to accommodate fans. Especially for a game of smaller sale scale.

I hope they really do fix this, at least for outside of Japan.

I have a feeling the announcement will be light on what they did with the netcode… However they probably would go into details about some minute change the lobby and menu system…

Of course it’s just to stem the tide, but any info is better than none…

Hmm.

Oh what? you don’t think the terrible netcode is worth complaining about? B/c I sure as shit can’t do dick with this game until that excuse for a netcode is fixed. And I’ll bitch and complain until something is done about it because this is a great game overshadowed by the fact that no one can do anything besides play arcade and story mode over and over.

Versus mode works fine.

That requires real life friends >>

Yea nice! So far Ive been experiencing good online play. Just under 1 condition, room is set for 2 people only. No one with a Red bar is allowed in.

Wow you two are fucking geniuses. None of my real life friends are fight game fans and if I do manage to con them into playing one with me I kill them so bad it makes their hatred of the genre even worse. So your infantile “you need real life friends” remark holds no weight. Stop your trolling and get the fuck out unless you have something constructive to say.

I’ve been trying this but with no luck… I’ll try some more b/c I really like the fighting system.

as opposed to other people WHINING about MY complaining, take your ass back to school your stupid is showing. You can jump on my lovely dick whenever Snkp or whatever they call themselves now decides to man the fuck up make this game worth my 60 dollars.

monkey king? more like monkey see, monkey do around here.

Maybe the announcement will be that there is an announcement coming soon.

Announcement of an announcement would be lame. Hopefully it’s something concrete- like we will fix this.

The key is to get SNK to use GGPO for XIII at a minimum. Ignition needs to keep feeling the heat on this, but in a way that doesn’t trash them- they are trying.

Oh c’mon, chill! If that pisses you off, you don’t belong on the internet.

I’ve played VS in person (on the console) a total of once. Its so great, it keeps you playing the game, despite the nightmare online.

I’m gonna remain optimistic on this one. I mean, they have to know this game can’t survive without solid online play, right?

Announcement of an announcement would be fine, if the announcement is “We’re bringing GGPO or at least BB-caliber netcode to KoF…TOMORROW.”

Well I’d take any date, as long as it’s not more than a couple weeks. Still, applause for SNKP actually doing something about the game’s issues so soon after release.
