The game in a nutshell if the netcode is actually as bad what the few non-idiots say:
4 bars: enjoyable, if you can find 4 bar matches this game will be fun online. the 2 4-bars matches i had were pretty much lagless. BB/Ah3 status.
3 bars: hit or miss, sometimes its pretty decent with a few hiccups here and there, sometimes its just lag city.
2 bars: underwater, everything is delayed for 2-3 seconds, but it seems that the inputs are never “eaten”, just delayed.
1 bar: dont bother lol.
I’m on PS3 w/ Wired 25Mbps (Centurylink) if it makes a difference.
as a whole:
Netcode is alright when you’re playing 4 bars (and sometimes 3. The issue? good luck finding a 4 bar connection. Shit is like once in a blue moon.
my main complaint though is this game’s matchmatching, its a worthless pile of shit… if you’re looking for a matchmaker so bad that it’d dethrone MVC3 for the title of “worst matchmaker EVER” then you’ve found your new king.

> gets matched with a 1 bar
> cant back out coz this game is dumb

i think we dodged a bullet here.
calm down it day 1 , even big games like halo and cod suck the first month…im sure there already working on the first patch and it will take a week, then i can only speak of xbox needs to have the patch microsoft approved…im sure psn is the same ,i own both consoles buy play my multiplayer games on xlive…multigames just run better on there then psn…and everyone should have there connections wired and nat types set to open…
router moderate and strict always are 2 bar connection and lagg down games, same for all my friends that are forced to use dsl compared to my friends that have cable like me…give it a month, you should all be learning combos and in the training room the first 30 days

The list said he was a 4 bar connection, joined the room he’s a 3 but it played like a 4 bar connection…this is the only fucking way this game is playable online - SAME CITY

Played a friend this morning. I’m in Texas and he is in Nebraska and it showed we had a 3 bar connection. There was some lag here and there while we played but I was at least able to pull off some combos.
I wish I could get FIOS. I would have to live in a city surrounding Houston in order to get FIOS. My best option would be to switch to Comcast.

Also Fios isn’t all that really (at this time) - Hell DOCSIS 3 Cable can keep up with / smoke Fiber (at this time)
The fastest Comcast offers in Houston is 105/15, Under that it’s 50/10 and then 20/5, etc.
I have a bud living in the same city as me and he has Charter and he’s wired and has a better MB Down and Up than I do. I have U-verse and have 12 Down and 1.5 MB up. We’re about less than 20 miles away but I think our ISPs hate each other. We get a really laggy 2 bar connection. So much for being in the same city.
I have a better connection with another friend in San Francisco, 3 Bars and really playable games. I just simply don’t understand.
Nah that sounds like some networking BS - did you or your buddy have some streams or Torrents going on?, Only 20mi apart and a 2 Bar doesn’t even begin to sound right.
No we didn’t. But we did have a history of not having solid connections to each other even when I was on a different service. Certainly we have to test again. When worse comes to worst, we could just always meet up sometime at the local college to use their game room so no biggy.
