That sounds good. Microsoft brought up the limit on how big XBLA games were a while back, so this could work with the more lenient limitations. I’m sure the 3D backgrounds/extra music got removed in 98UM due to the old limit (and even the final version was pretty damn big)
Sprites don’t bother me too much but I could see why people hate them
I don’t think so and even if it was, it’d be perfectly escapable.
Only ways garanteed is off of 2,8+P or 2HP, 4HP (has to be done fast and hard to do, but almost no damage scaling), or supercanceling from the P attack of the running special qcb+K (not gonna happen in a real match).
I tired to stream those matches and it claimed I didn’t have Windows Media Player.
Are you fucking kidding me.
Edit: Yeah, the players are ass, but I guess that can be forgiven to just see it in action…nah Akari player got a counter wire with qcb+K ~ HK and didn’t combo off it…what a waste. Do you know how I would kill for that to happen…anyway yeah the sprites look like crap, the new stages are decent.
I’d really just settle for them making the original boss lairs selectable and giving a stage select.
From what I’ve seen, I think the sprites are fine. I was expecting something really washed out and lacking detail, but I didn’t see that. I think people are too used to the rough look of the old Geo sprites. And yes, by all means flame me for having an opinion different from yours.
Well, they’ve gotten better at "REBOUT"ing the sprites. If its well enough recieved, i wouldn’t be surpised if 2K2UM gets "REBOUT"ed as well for its XBLA release.
Looking at those shots you linked Frankfurt. It looks like its a heavy filter ONTOP of the Rebouted Sprites. Im sure you can turn them off and just get the Rebout sprites alone, and if that doesn’t float the boat, then prob a way to revert back to pixels as it was originally.
oh fuck i’m sorry i didn’t mean to spread misinformation; i just saw this for the first time and it seemed like an ample opportunity to change some stuff up if they’re already bothering with the visuals
