I could have sworn neither of the cancelable command attacks comboed from cr.B, I thought only C attacks gave enough hitstun for the command moves to combo.
If that is so, then you’re right fuck HCF+K. I only advocated it because I thought it was her only meterless option off light attacks.
I don’t know where my copy of the game is, but I do remember that at least close A/close B will combo to slide. Crouch B I’m not so sure of. Crouch A had no combo options.
lol, how is this broken. It sounds like an improvement to me. If someone messes up their jump and lands in a poor position, it’s fair enough that there is a window to punish them for it.
As for Mai, p much every game c.B and c.A are not cancellable while close s.A/s.B are which is what you will use for her low starter BnBs.
Jump with any character and hold down-back in the air and the other player using Asura an does qcb, hcf+C which hits low 5 frames before you hit the ground. Free super.
Remember: Ryu could only use crouching roundhouse as an anti-air in world warrior because the hit box reached verticaly. You could not punish a jumping opponet with a meaty crouching jab or short kick.
There are some vids of me playing Mai/Shiki against Jeron and Geese, vs other NC players etc but they’re all like 2005 and I don’t know where they are really. Maybe I’ll play some against Saisyu, Shiki or Cajunstrike again soon. It’s been a long, long time.
Heh, Ed loves getting worked up over random system properties. I’d complain about the backturn throws in the corner (Kim) if anything…and how certain characters build enough meter for a B&B during the freaking B&B itself (also Kim). You get meter for doing nothing at all.
I’ll try to find some of those vids. Basically, it’s like: Shiki on point, hit qcb C somehow, do the reset over and over and use very little meter. Get a D. Assault at some point. Bring Mai in, hit a dive > super if I can, and if the match drags on, bring Shiki back in to do life steal supers to work the timer and get life advantage. I play Mai pretty defensively actually.
Oddly enough they look pretty good (I’ll be complaining later though)
Sadly SNK’s non-existent netcode won’t do the game justice. May just catch a few fans and those who are just curious.
It should be safe to say this port might possibly remedy the issue of slowdown and loadtimes.
To tell you the truth though, I’d much rather see a sequel. I doubt that moving their FG’s to XBLA will get them revenue. And no 360 stick is as responsive as a ps2 pad/stick.
