What conditions would you have to meet to get lag on normal stages?
Cause it has never happened on normal stages for me. Bear stages lags sometimes when I play Tung, otherewise, I don’t feel anything.
I’ll be getting the japanese version anyway once my modchip gets here.
The US version is based off the PAL version, and yes it does lag a teeny, tiny bit on the normal stages.
It’s just much more prolific on the 3-D stages.
I believe I heard that the PAL version is even worse.
Is the lag on the normal stages game-breaking? I don’t know.
But coming from someone who played the HELL out of the Japanese version, I can tell you it is noticeable.
OMG its so weird that I find this thread like 2 days after deciding to pop the game back in for old times sake XD! NGBC = fun fun fun!

Cross your fingers everybody…
I just want to say FUCK YOU to SNK and Sony. Yes. Port more games to XBLA and give them an online mode while PS3 users get shit. Wonderful.
Why the Hell do I play SNK games? SNK is the only company that does everything wrong. Shit.
Yay, more games to add to the shitty netcode list.
Is this gonna be outsourced like the previous games?
I’ll skip out on the port of NGBC but I’ll give SNK a second chance for 02UM.
Probably a bigger fuck you to Sony, they still act really sketchy towards 2D games.
PS3 users will get them, but in the form of PS2 backwards compatibility?
Seriously, how far is Sony with that emulator?
Just buy a Japanese PS2 or flip-top mod a US PS2, man…
That’s the only way you’re going to play a decent port right now.
I have a modded PS2 and I used to own NGBC(US). I was thinking about buying it again but what for? There’s no one to play it with around here. It’ll just collect dust with XI, 02UM, and MIRA.
I’m stuck with what I can get on 2DF/GGPO. None of which are exciting to play at all.
I get the feeling by the time NGBC goes on XBL, that it will be fully 100% emulated on Demul and Mame. Hopefully it shouldn’t be so long until Atomiswave/Naomi is integrated with Final Burn Alpha, and the flood gates will fuckin’ open on GGPO/2DF.
it’s only coming out on xbox live in japan only
Fixed, anyway I’m gonna try out Rock and Mr. Karate Ryo tomorrow…
og 2002?
This game! Hey, I’d play this game again. I got 2nd in the last big NGBC tournament, after which the game “died”. Justin won. It was Final Round…10?
Anyway, I have FAQs for Shiki and Mai (my team) up on gamefaqs and some other random places that asked me to put it up. If there’s anything about those characters I don’t know, I’d be really shocked.
Somebody mentioned combo’ing into Mai’s HCF+k earlier. Don’t do that. Don’t even do that move at all. I also read something about how linking two cr.LKs is useless, hell no it isn’t, you can D. Assault after that. Damn good combo. You can also step cancel a crouch LK into close C combos for big damage.
I realize HCF+K unsafe on block, but what’s so bad about doing it in a combo?
I’m pretty sure I said something along the lines of probably being able to do a DA (like most characters can after light normals) after cr.lks. I was referring to normal and special move combos that affect the regular lifebar and not the recoverable one.
Now step cancel from cr.lk into close C for combos…that I didn’t think of. I can already see using 2B [STC] 5C, command normal, etc.
…But you need meter for Step Cancel. Which is why i was thinking of HCF+K combo as a meterless option.
The problem with killer ninja bees is that it isn’t as good and isn’t confirmable and safe as just using slide > flame spin. The latter option is an easier input too. KNB (HCF+k) does do a little more damage I think, but if it’s blocked, you’re at like -50. If they blocked normal(s) > df B > flame spin, they can’t punish you at all. If I remember right, even with a GCFS you can’t mess with her after that.
Your meterless combo options are more like:
off of a close or crouch C > forward D/B > dive. This string can be punished with a GCFS.
off of lights or heavies, such as close B > df B > qcb A or C
If you have meter, you can do level 2 and level 1 supers at the end of these two combos, respectively.
I have a statment to make…those who know should be ashmed but…NGBC is broke.
#1 reason) If you jump, even if you do not commit to an attack in the air when you land even if you are holding down-back on the stick you will not be able to guard a crouching attack if it is throne out meaty to meet you when you land ie crouching a or b or super timed to your landing.
If you do not think so try it out with a friend.
