I’m thinking I should focus less on extending Nem’s combos with assists, and focus more on having an assist who could maybe knock people out of the air or something along the lines of that. I don’t know, I’m extremely new to the game so I’m no expert lol
Yeah true. Nems combos really arent worth extending due his damage scaling.
EDIT: Disregard. I was in a rush to clock back in for lunch at work at the time of posting and didnt really give it that much thought.
im not following you!
Corrected. I was thinking that if he extended Nems combo with Sent that he wouldnt be able to TAC into Sent since he just called him. By all means go for max damage. Dunno what I was thinking when I posted that.
Deadpool seems to works pretty well, with his OTG assist, and DHCs well too. Now I’ll have to see if I can actually play as Deadpool Thanks for the suggestions by the way guys
Ooh, I was thinking Deadpool as well. He can call arthur and quick work, on hit you can confirm into a combo by launching, and on block you get close for free, and can do a low, throw, or his standing overhead, or be silly and teleport behind them and do any of those from the other side.
I’m not sure about Nem/Pool, never ever tried them together, but if it’s working for you, doesn’t sound bad.
It’s been some time, but got a question y’all.
How is the Nemesis/Magneto pair? (Got pitied on with my Hsien-ko/Nemesis/Sent team. Why does no one appreciate low-tiers (T^T) ) Anyway, I’m been looking into his synergy Magneto’s Hyper Gravitation - while his Disruptor is good, it’s just a good beam assist for everyone, not just for Nemesis.
Hey guys, thinking of running my old Nemesis/Bolts pair, but I actually want to make a team around consistent flameloops, so I’m gonna try putting strange off anchor and use Nem/Strange/???
So, my criteria for the last person is:
- Can extend Strange’s flameloops somewhat with the assist (not required, I think rocket and launcher slam can both extend)
- Good shell with Strange (assist/THC synergy/whatevah)
- Halfway decent assist for Nemesis.
- Good anchor.
Got any suggestions? If I find nothing exceedingly broken, probly going to go back and start running Nemesis/Dorm/Strange as an alternate team. Current thoughts are Ammy, Hawkeye, Vergil, but would like some other thoughts too.
Also, Epi, I don’t like Nem/Mags, because I don’t like Mags, but I guess it could work. I just don’t like Nem/Disruptor (too fast to go in after a DR), and Mags/Nem doesn’t have the a remotely good DHC. Have a good synergy-full assist on back, I guess. Maybe Nem/Mags/Sent, go for the infinites?
Duke, I would recommend Doom missiles.
i would run nemmy (y,) mags (b,) sent (a) if i wasnt so…me!
as for anchor id say iron man, rocket raccoon or dante. dhc damage would suffer but reset/mix up potential would be good i think!
…some x-factor may be required!!!
Did a lot of labbing on the team. Early results:
My DHCs are garbage in most orders of this team anyway. I tried rocket raccoon, but Clocket assist and Log is redundant in combos, and spitfire and bolts are pretty redundant in neutral. Iron Man I didn’t try, but he seems almost less appealing to learn than Doom.
I feel the best answers would be Doom on missiles, Dante on jam, or Haggar on lariat. Dante gives a good anchor, a great shell with strange, and better damage for any of my flameloops setups, though that extension is really hard to time, Dante can also rawtag off of tentacle slam for good meterbuild, though not the best damage. Doom can tag in off tentacle too for much much more damage, and he is a good anchor, and missiles works well with strange, and he gives a safe DHC and some high/lows to abuse with bolts assist. That said, I can’t get my head around playing him. For Nemesis, the assist is my least favorite of the three, though, I might get into missiles more if I knew the damn flameloops extension. Then the gimmicks, anchor Haggar. Lariat is good for extension, and more consistent than the other two, gives Nem that get-off-me, which, combined with bolts for lockdown/zoning, makes Nemesis really really well-rounded. I like that a lot. Haggar himself is eh, but the DHC isn’t bad, and if I tag off a corner command throw the damage is truly some of the stupidest stuff I’ve seen.
I can do a lot of damage off most Nemesis confirms for all three of them, throw, BWA, DHC to Rings, full flameloop combo, extend with missiles, extend with clocket, into vishanti does about 1.1 mill. So does cr.L combo confirm into BHR, DHC’ed into Rings, not as many flameloops, but I get the non-clocket extension and it still does about 1.05 mill.
So, those three seem to be it, Dante and Haggar give Strange better teleport crossup setups, Doom gives the most consistent confirms into flameloops from a Strange or Nemesis confirm, Haggar’s the worst anchor but the most helpful for Nemesis neutral, Dante’s the best with bolts, and can setup flameloops himself off the right combos. Doom and Dante have safe DHCs in. If you can flameloop (I’m bad at them outside of training mode), I suggest trying out this team. It seems more consistent than a lot of teams (barring Nemo team of course), at setting up flameloops.
And none of them can setup Nemesis’s level 3 well :C
Spidey’s assists suck. But, lately I’ve been looking into Spidey and been using Spidey/Nemmy (Clocket)/Shuma (Ray).
While Shuma’s been helpful for me, most of the time I spend fishing for hits, I have no idea what to do and do only his basic BnB. So, while I’m off practicing that, any suggestions towards a Spidey/Nemmy/xx team? And his (Spidey’s) assists?
And speaking of Shuma-Gorath:
Why have just a rocket launcher, when you can be a zombie-version of the Predator with the all new “Shuma Ray!” Anchor him…it on your left arm, and watch it laser things on command. Or, whenever it wishes.

*Drawn in between final exams
Alright so I’m a pretty diehard Nemesis player, and love to see people use him…and of course smack people upside the head with him. He took me to 4th Lord, and almost to 3rd Lord right now, so I’d like to post the team that’s gotten me the most success with him.
Team: Nemesis Launcher Slam/Nova Centurion Rush/Wesker Samurai Edge(Lower Shot)
So while the team is unfortunately lacking in the assists department for poor old Nemmy, Wesker’s gunshot is VERY helpful. A basic j.H into magic series > L Clothesline > c. M > c.H > M Launcher Slam > S > j.M x2 > j.H > S > Dash and Call Wesker > h Launcher Slam > Bio Weapon Assault once the hard knockdown kicks in will kill Vergil and those of similar squishiness. This combo WILL build a meter, and a DHC into Supernova can kill most of the cast. As for synergy with the rest of the team, Launcher Slam is just that good. Nova can L Centurion Rush and have the Launcher Slam ground bounce and launch afterwards, and Launcher slam is one of the easiest combo extenders for Wesker ever. For other characters I can pair with him, I play Hawkeye, Ghost Rider, and have a bit of knowledge with Captain America, Sentinel, and Taskmaster. Any suggestions on what I can do to make this team better?
tl;dr I would like suggestions to make this team better. HALLLLP
Like what problems are you having? Are you looking for general gameplay advice for your team or better team construction tips? If you want a better Nemesis team construction, may I suggest my team of Hulk/Nemesis/Sentinel?

Sorry for the extremely late reply…Im making a more conscious effort to stay active on these Nem forums. Been kinda busy lately competing.
Anyways…How does Nemesis help Spider-Man get a hit? I’m not a Spider-Man player, but I think he would benefit more from a lockdown assist like drones or missiles…Ray assist seems pretty useful for Spidey.
Basically, I believe that Nemesis doesnt anything for Spider-Man aside from a few combo extensions with Launcher Slam and Clocket assists.
So, this is a weird thing, and somewhat limited as far as synergy, but Nemesis does work pretty well with peekaboo. However, what I didn’t think of is how well Trish Works with the THC. As extension it lets her get a lot more damage (at the very least it allows her to round trip S S S after you’ve done the entire combo, then TK Trap Lightning if you have the third meter), and it also lets her convert off air throws with a much larger combo. Still a strange pair to make work, but food for thought.
I got hit by it today online…I was enjoying the THCs so much I almost wanted to get hit.
I could see this working really well with Nemesis or Trish on point, and Doom missiles, it gets zoning, much extension for both characters (Trish actually gets huge damage factoring in all that), Doom incomings with peekaboo I assume can get nasty, and then Nemesis gets fun tools closeup and for zoning.
I could see it working well. Just a thought, I don’t play Trish or Doom, but I thought the tech was worth mentioning.
Also, came up with a concept for Nem/Doom that I haven’t seen much. Nemmy does groundthrow, BWA, on the second rocket, after its fired DHC to Sphere Flame, dash over, otg to combo. I can’t move with doom (never played him) and I got it from almost fullscreen, I bet a quicker person could totally get that hit fullscreen.
Edit: Just did, if you DHC right when you fire the second rocket it’s actually pretty easy.
Edit: You can actually do it after the third rocket fires too, lol, this combo.

Pretty much.
Regardless, I went back to my second main: Dormammu. Now I’m searching for an anchor: testing Sentinel, Dante, Strange and Vergil for that position.
You have no idea how much I wanna say Strange.
i know we all have our own personal team bias (damage!!!) but i will say that jdog and duke are offering two amazing examples of a complete team for nemmy with…
literally jdogs team!
and
nemmy (b/y,) nova (b,) strange (y.)
