I think Dante might be a good choice, but you’re Nem game will be very reset heavy since both assists will heavily scale your damage.
Cap with shield toss assist is also good there. The 2-bar THC is probably godlike, Nem loves shield toss, Cap likes unibeam.
And you can copy/paste almost all of Bum’s tech. His alts are Cap/Nemmy/Arthur.
Oh, and Nemesis/IM/Sent or Log trap are two good shells backing mr. Zombeh. Iron Man gets that bizarrely strong defense game with log/drones with repulsor.
Vergil with unibeam, Nem into swords DHC, that sounds good too.
But, I’m straying a bit far from your given choices, whoops. I don’t know a thing about Ryu, don’t like him, but Dante/Unibeam has to be good, but Jdog’s right, gotta sudden resets, but those two assists cover most of the screen.
Strange/Unibeam is great, the THC is unbelievable, and though Nemmy likes bolts a bit more than unibeam, the assists are redundant enough that you could explore with his other assists, daggers assist could be fun, never tried it.
That’s all I got.
i think nova second would be a great choice!
but out of your choices listed i vote strange with bolts!
Nice to see an Iron-Man.
I’d agree with the others above; I feel that of your choices Bolts is probably the best assist to go along with Nemesis. Dante’s Jam Session is good for air control, but even if you get a confirmation it will heavily scale the damage (I myself prefer his Weasel Shot - or Crystal for OTG) and I have not one clue of Ryu. While Nemesis does great damage by himself, it typically wont one-touch kill a character without a DHC; that’s what his resets are for, which Strange easily gives him. And his Book Hyper is amazing.
However, I dislike Strange so I don’t play him.
Plus Strange bolts would be a good setup for a command grab. Get them to block the first bolt, and since they know another bolt is coming, they may get scared of the next one, then grab! I use to do this with Cap shield slash assist. Just one example of the many uses of Bolts.
JDog, with other grapplers it’s great, but with Nem that’s dengerous, you need to call strange pretty far away or a jab equals a birthday and a loss, considering how big that assist is in Strange teams. That’s why I never went for it, you can get into that strange-is a bit far away situation with DR jumpins or a j.H, but most times I get pushblocked for that.
Still doable, though, just don’t have Strange anywhere near your target, and don’t do it on Spencer. AAAAAAAAAAAAARM
I don’t play Iron Man, warning, I just have labbed unibeam assist on various folk, watch too many streams, and am hype for Iron Man, so I try to keep tabs. But I’m definitely not an Iron Man player. sorry ‘bout that.’
Nem/Bolts is my jam, however, and Strange, if backed by a really really good assist, isn’t so bad.
Due to my stick breaking down, I’ve been unable to play my Nem/Mag/Dante team on a pad. So so far, thanks to another member of this thread, I’ve been testing out Nemesis/xx/Dorm. (Dorm was my third or fourth pick due to his spells and teleports and stuff) I’ve been searching for a third member of this family. Lately, I’ve been using Hsien-ko and to all extents, even without gold armor, she is among the best assist for the two - but as a character… not so well. I’ll still play her, but I’m looking to expand my horizons.
Doom, while I understand he gives a lot for any team, is a character I dislike playing. And so is Gucci Belt, as well as Hulk.
So I’m looking for another character, and while I have my own ideas I am open to suggestions. (For example, I’ve been looking at Thor for a bit.)
If I had to narrow it down further, then I have to say someone who has better mobility and can swiftly change in between a rushdown to keepaway style - while I do like Hsien-ko, she’s better for keepaway and landing those stray hits. But, having her by herself against three characters ain’t exactly a good thing.
Doom is actually an extremely fair character. It just happens to be that he takes extreme advantage of the games flaws and loopholes.
That being said, you can move Dorm to second and put someone like, say, Hawkeye or Strider or Task in that slot. Or, if you really wanna be hip, Shuma
Nem/Dorm second works quite well with Hawkeye, Task, Arthur, Shuma, Log, Plasma, anything with big, scary ranged priority.
Dorm third, Tasky also works there, Spencer most likely, Dante mebbe.
opinions on Nemesis’ best teammates? How is doom (plasma beam)? anything else of note aside from drones and samurai edge ?
Arthur Daggers and Bolts are really, really good assists on him but, needless to say, they will need some serious synergy with that third character to work better than a just-add-water character like Doom. Plasma’s good, it’s always good, and Nemesis does like beams to help him control space on the ground, considering how effective he is at scaring people who aren’t Trish/Doom out of the sky.
Strider and Hawkeye are powerful teammates, just for the element of space control they give a Nem team. Nemesis can also really help level up Frank, but I’m not sold on their neutral game when put together.
Point Nem is really strong, the standard position, but I actually think some of the better Nem synergy comes from him in second, his assists are some of the best for extension, and they each have some nice niches that a 1-neutral-assist character in first could very well pull off (launcher slam hits incoming-character-height, rocket has very high durability for one collision, makes for cool trades), and the THC becomes really useful. I don’t have too many examples, just Bum’s alts (Cap/Nemesis/Arthur), team bigboy/JDog (Hulk on gamma wave/Nemesis projectile assist/Drones), and Spencer(slat or ground)/Nemesis(rocket or launcher slam)/Plasma, a team I don’t have a name for.
And, personal opinion, I like Wesker/Nemesis/??? much more than Nemesis/Wesker/???, but the DHCs are garbage either direction, so you better have some higher-damage combos with Wesker ready, which isn’t actually all that hard with Launcher slam.
GTFO assists are pretty good too like Hulk AA Gamma Charge or Haggar lariat. It helps Nem deal better with rush down since he doesn’t have the best armor moves or good GTFO moves. Plus you can get full combos off of them on hit.
Dante’s Jam session is another good one to help makes Nem air control even better then it already is. It’ll heavily scale the combo though, so you’ll have to go for reset, or snap.
Plus beams are really good, especially Strange bolts.
Wesker/Nem is really solid, i have played Nem since i first started this game and have always played him as a point. After switching it around there are some really shady things you can do with that combo and it opens up a lot of options for your anchor character as well. The THC between the two leaves the opponent floating in the air after BHR and Wesker already done just waiting to punish them. Dont know if anyone has experimented with this yet but those of you that make videos i would sure love to see some optimal Wes/Nem stuff if anyone has time. Also there are a number of good anchors for that “shell” any opinions on the best??
Probably a beam assist that controls the ground. You can get teleport mix-ups with Wesker, and it kinda lets rushing down the opponent a bit easier.
Try Doom’s Plasma Beam, Strange’s Bolts, or similar.
Or Vergil. Because Vergil.
Also Hawkeye is an option, though plasma/bolts/arthur daggers/drones are better liked by Nemesis, seeing as the length of the assist allows him to convert air-to-airs and deadly reaches into more stuff on block, and sometimes gives him cool tentacle confirms on hit.
Probably not Mags, for how great it is with Wesker, Nemmy doesn’t like it as much, at least from my limited experience with that assist.
I plan on using Nemesis on Point, and Arthur as Anchor with Dagger Toss assist. Who do you think could fit nicely in the middle? I kind of want to try Thor there. By the way, I’m new at this game (just moving over from Street Fighter ) so any tips are appreciated
As always, Dr. Doom. Missiles gives you an OTG into dp+H, super, or tentacle slam reset. Sphere Flame DHCs nicely and you can THC Doom+Nemesis kind of like a ghetto Doom+Ammy.
Yah Thor has no synergy with Nemesis lol. What was I thinking Anyways, I kind of want to avoid Doom and other top tiers, I want to show those low/mid tiers some love.
Cap/Nem/Arthur, Cap’s shield toss is good extension for Nem, arthur assist with charging star, as well as roll and arthur assist I’d bet would be good.
Nem second for THC, I’m thinking, or Cap second for the doublejump when incoming.
Lemme think…Sentinel would be okay, between Drones and Daggers, you’d have quite a lot to work with for Nem. Drones DHC is a safe out, plasma hands DHC is nice for damage, plus TAC infinites, JDog can get them pretty reliably, so it’s definitely a viable infinite.
Haggar would be okay. An honest team, would cover space well but be harder to open people up, but Lariat is lariat and deadly reach and daggers are awesome, the team’ll at least be hard to get to, Arthur extends excellently for Haggar, and there’s no doubt one of Nemmy’s assists would also help Haggar’s damage, but I don’t know which. Haggar/Nem and Haggar/Arthur THC both give Haggar another grapple into swing, so damage is good on the team.
And with that, I’m out of ideas for now. I’d say Strange but Bolts/Daggers is kinda redundant assist-wise, eye assist does next to nothing for Nemmy aside from make a defensive wall that Lariat does better, and you get no safe DHC out. The upside, Nemmy can go into flameloops with Strange second from a lot of confirms, if he doesn’t use bolts on the confirm, which would be probable, seeing as Arthur would be the team’s main assist. I think the other three team ideas would be a wee bit stronger, though. And Doom is godlike there, as he is everywhere, but lowtier’s more fun, I feel ya.
Nem and Sent have a ton of cool stuff you can do. First you can do double Plasma Storm off QCF ATK ATK with Nem if you DHC at the right height from the ground bounce. And of course you have infinite with Sent. ( I mean Nem has an infinite to but its too impractical. ) But you can get into Sent infinite even if you start with Sent!
This is a video I made showcasing hard tag combos from Sentinel -> Nemesis. But instead of hard tagging in Nem and going for a few rockets into drones assist, you can link S , jH into TAC back into Sent for the infinite. This can be done midscreen as well but its more position dependent, but still practical. Of course this is all assuming you run Nem/Sent/Arthur. I actually used to run that team. Good luck and post again if you need more help.
