shoutouts to PR Balrog for playing me and my actually scrub balrog and giving me pointers afterwards. did not get to record that match though
super cool cat
Thx black_vegeta, but I forgot to mention I’m looking for SSF4 videos. I haven’t found anything from those players on youtube yet.
You won’t always get top players but you can get a lot of great matches by just typing in: Balrog, SSF4 at youtube. Then click most recent or last week and check if you like the vids
I know and that’s what I’ve been doing but I would like to see some more top players playing.
any advice for my rog?
after re watching… i realize I really do need to tick throw more :X whatever though, any type of criticism will be greatly appreciated :]
shout out’s to A8 balrog. you, me, gootecks, and pamyu be hardbodying that pink.
as for the match a few notes:
- you got counter hit for throwing out too many random normals at inappropriate distances. do not whiff moves unless you are trying to bait. from what i could tell you threw out normals for no justifiable reason. (maybe you had reason but kept getting punished regardless)
- don’t focus fireballs and backdash when you already have ultra. you lost positioning, stopped advancing, and/or got punished due to this habit.
- fireballs do like 5 damage in chip, don’t be afraid to block that shit.
really decent Rog. Not sure i can do better than u but against shoto player, i like to give them something to think abt by using (sparingly) TAP, EX dash low punch and Headbutt pass the fireball
Hey fellas,
Here’s some recent videos of myself reppin’ that 'rog at the recent EVO APAC held in Sydney, Australia. Yes, that’s the one where Daigo went to last weekend.

This is me playing Australia #1 player using his Guile. It’s not his main but his Guile is no slouch. I know a lot of people here have trouble with Guile. I like to think I have a pretty good grasp of the matchup so hopefully this gives you a good idea of how to approach the match.
I also played against his main Akuma. This one didn’t go so well… I don’t know the Akuma matchup that well and his Akuma is friggin’ beastly…

I do have more videos to upload once I get my hands on them. Some more casuals (yes, ones with Daigo himself… those aren’t pretty haha) plus my actual tournament videos. Some advice would be very much appreciated
Great match. Like thxyoutoo said too many normals at the wrong time. IMO I think you got too close to Chun li. At the start of the round play it kinda lame, stay back, absorb/block projectiles and use pokes until you get the health advantage. Also jump in less. Like I noticed you got nailed by her sweep and EX SBK a couple of times. Im no pro rog so I might be wrong and my advice could be wrong but its a strat I found useful when playing against chun li
some matches with my rog in casuals…its just online matches though…i haven’t hd the time to record offline sets yet

yeah man, A8 is SERIOUS thanks a bunch.
and thank you, who do you main?
p4p1426 was that an OS into Super or did you guessed right?
it was os
What normal did you used? c.mk?
You absorbed a lot of jump ins in round 1 where c.hp would have punished him. Apart from that, nice pressure.
big marcus knows how to time his jump ins with a jump in HP where it will beat my crouching hp
crouching jab
They were definitely c.hp material - it’s actually more a case of timing your c.hp. I hav trouble AAing Bison myself, but you could certainly AA them with c.hp or st.mp.
ahh ok…I’ll have to see whats up on training mode
