My only point about me going by myself is that my dad called the cops on me because I wanted to go to a tournament in Cincinatti Ohio by myself, and he threw a massive fit saying that he didn’t know who I was going with and all that. Me trying to go to Vegas alone would probably wield similar, if not the same, results. Hence the reason I wanted to take her with me, so dad would be more at ease.

Anyways, best of luck with your trip. I’d say try to convince your dad on going alone, say that you’re mature enough and/or you got a job opportunity at vegas from a friend to do some event shots, etc. I believe that would drastically shorten the ammount of money/hassle you’d have if you bring your mom along, thus making it seem much more possible of a positive outcome.
I’d love to help on the donation but I’m a broke student as well

Find a way to convince your parents to let you go alone. This way you shouldn’t have many problems finding where to live, being that, like said above, there are players who would use a roommate.
@Kaliptus: 1 brazilian real is about half a dollar, so if you want to donate, say, 10$ to Cobra it would be about 20 Reals.

Hmm, I’m not sure about the exchange rate today but I just recently stopped playing WoW (late january I think) and since it’s $15 a month to play it, I was paying around R$36. I kinda miss the major economic crisis from 2008-2009 where the dollar rate here got really low for a while :razzy:

Good luck my friend. I am in a messed up situation myself and will possibly be wandering around the Vegas strip for hours each night after Evo ends since I recently lost all but one of my jobs. Stay in there and hold onto hope. You still have a little time and maybe something will come through for you so you can get there. If you want to attend evo make it happen my friend. If you aren’t able to go after exhausting all options, sacrificing and asking for help… Then it just wasn’t in the cards for this year. But. Evo hasn’t started yet. You still have time. Good luck.
