If switching supers against akuma is the only way you can beat him than go ahead. But I have to say that against good Akuma’s your not going to get very far with Mag storm. It works against the low level ones, but the better ones may get hit by it once your entire game and then after that will punish the shit outta you for trying it. Plus even with the added damage Akuma takes Mag storm still doesn’t do too much damage in combos outside of certain corner stuff like b+hp db+hp link Mag storm. If it were me I’d stick with the Elec snake as I believe it shuts down much of Akuma’s game better, because overall Necro beats him on the ground and if you have him jumping at you alot well then he’s just parry bait. So I’d say learn to play Electric Snake against him as you will benefit in the long run. Also if he runs away, then let him, what’s it get him? meter, you’ll build bar faster and then you can rush him down and stun his ass and by then you should be able to kill him in 1 combo.
Kabuki: Although you have a strong point, I do believe that SA1 is the best choice over all. You can’t play a match and ASSUME you WILL hit your opponent with a stunning combo. If you don’t, what’s gonna happen? SA1 is a safer card against Akuma, not to mention that Mester and Pino always use it against him…
off topic
mmm i never see pino vs akuma please up this video in necro video thread
on topic
i can’t win again a good remy player please helpme
Pino fights against an Akuma in the Tokushima SBO3 Qualifier vid. I don’t really know anything about video editing (cutting and such) so I can’t upload it. Sorry.
Remy is really tough to meet, but watch the Ozeking vs. Yokoyama match here for inspiration: http://www.combovideos.com/page.php?id=462&PHPSESSID=b9fac15c1d873b8b9b10a5db8f5da06e
He’s not too far from victory^^
You can expect to hit with a stunning combo though. Electric snake does tons of stun damage and Akuma already has lousy stun defense.
I always have trouble against Urien…
for me urien is not a hard machtup
general tips
use SA3 on urien if you land one combo stun bar is really high
for example near of corner b.mk x strong roll xx SA3 , jab electricity , bd.fierce , s.strong 90% /85% of empty bar
urien are a lot of high recovery moves you can capitalize this (parry or block and attack)
the only way of win is try rush down him and cornered but is dangerous because if he grab he corner you and you have in danger
i think you can trade hit whit bd fierce on urien’s j.hk of max range
urien not have real way of escape of corner if you not attack think and use lot of mind games
attack of mid range and use much electricity if he parry the most of time you are safe
for defense try escape of corner aegis block or reversal is very important minimize chance of damage try state of most of time on ground if aegis not hits you (is front you) evade grabs and hit him whit s.jabs ,b.jabs
try kill him fast because he carge bar he can kill you very easy
excuse my bad english…
That’s what I noticed, the guy had 3-4 Reflectors per round…
i need help vs. chun-li
my brother uses a pretty mean chun-li, after i beat his other mains (ken, ryu, elena) he changes to turtle chun. i manage to win most of the time but the match-up is so damn frustrating. what i use to beat her is:
-
lack of mp’s
-
punish whiffs of chun’s hp and low mk w/ electric snake/command grab
thats all i got to work with. me and my brother are psychic; i cant throw him at all, we always end up tech-hittin out of it, so that limits my corner game to a parry mix-up of low lk xx jab hook or mk xx strong hook xx electric snake. not bad options but the prob is my brother is psychic  so i usually get parried xx hakkei xx SA2ed a lot. Help :wasted:
Need help…don’t use Necro.
:looney: that what i usually end up doing anyway :looney:
copied and pasted from some random thread that isn’t on the top anymore. (I did originally write this.)
You have to be exceedingly patient when playing against chun-li. What you need to focus on in the begining of the round (when chun-li has no meter) is getting in, alot of chun-lis will dance outside your poke range and build meter with back fierce. If they rush you down they are helping you so we will ignore this. So anyway if a chun-li is walking around back and forth pressing back+fierce what to do? well a good thing is to just slowly walk forward, and try and push her into the corner. Now eventually you’ll get into the range of that forward fierce, which sucks, cause it’s so fast. So what would I suggest bait that shit. It’s slower to recover so you have a decent chance of punishing it and here’s what you do to punish
- as it whiffs jump and lk dive kick, to get you next to her. Be prepared because if you land funny there is a chance you may just get back fierced, alot of players will fluster a bit though and you can immediately land and jump and go for a rh dive kick which will setup a nice rush down patter for you (hopefully chun doesn’t do something crazy like parry it)
- if you preempt the whiff a bit you can sweep her. hard to do, and not really the safest bet, but try it, you can then proceed to close the distance as you’ve knocked her down.
- you can bait it and then walk forward a bit and parry that and go for a jab tornado hook to knock down and then continue a rush down pattern.
Now if you really start pushing chun-li into the corner she may try to jump out. be prepared with either a quick back+fierce or elec or you can randomly poke the sky with down+mp this move is hard to see coming and even harder to parry, sticking it out every once in awhile will catch her when she attempts to jump alot (this works on every charcter btw)
So thats the basics, you’ll need to tailor some stuff depending on the chun-li you are fighting but that works pretty well.
Now when she has meter, well this sucks. If your above plans have gone well then you have chun on major necro lockdown and she’s getting scared and really you shouldn’t have to much trouble finishing her off, but, you will eventually end up in the situation again where she has 1 or two meters stocked, and you have 1 or two meters stalked and what do you do? Well this is where it can get a little boring and more than a little hard to win. I shit you not I believe Necro’s absolute hardest match to be a chun-li stocked with super. SO now you have to start playing footsies, what moves to use. Your best friend in this situation is cr.jab, any time chun li whiffs her cr.mk infront of you, in a way so she just barely misses, cr.jab xx super her large ass. And then start to rush that shit down again. If she starts to try and spam fierce, try and do the same baiting tricks as before, except you need to not do the sweep one, because if you miss or she blocks, your fucked. If you think she’s gonna do fierces in rapid succesion and she whiffs one, you can hit her out of the second one with a premptive s.mp, this is hitcheckable to super so if she blocks it, your good, if you hit she gets fried. If she starts rushing in because she thinks you’ll turtle up, hit her out of her dash with back+mp xx super. Basically you need to be very patient when she has meter, and if you ever knockher down, you have to keep up your momentum and finish the bitch off, because there is a good chance you may not get that oppurtunity again.
Oh and just for fun, if you ever get to parry part or all of chun-li’s super, finish that bitch off with back+rh, s.mpxx super, that hurts and does alot of stun. Plus it looks cool.
thanks a lot man
no problem.
Eventually I’d like to get a huge character specific post on each character necro may face. That Chun-li one is a good start. But I want 1 big organized post for each character. And it should hopefully be definitive with the most useful time tested strategies.
thanx for the vid Calzone
anyone got a quick short list in what super is the best to use against everyone
I say.
SA3 everyone, except maybe the twins. who you may want to use SA1 but otherwise I say SA3 everyone.
I find SA1 against Akuma useful, but that may be because of Akuma’s low health…
Wow, I haven’t been to this site in forever. School’s started again, so I’ve started playing again.
Anyways, SA3 for everyone 'cept Makoto. Use SA2 for her.
Also, using anything except SA1 against 12 would be stupid. Although, there aren’t many 12s to be afraid of - unfortunately…
how dare u insult the mighty 12, for he will pwn u in your sleep! MUHAHAHA!
I’ve been usin SA2 alot lately (no not on 12) lol The blocked Tornado Hook (LP) is good set-up against some noobs, I dont find the drill kick to it to be so safe. But I like using SA1 & 2. I honestly hate SA3, you honestly have no choice but to combo it it seems. I may not be a Necro expert or pro but when I play with SA3, it totally screws up my whole game lol.
