It is cool to see some of the tactics used against less used characters (such as Remy, Hugo, Ibuki, etc.). first players hit all time … and same timing all time…
not block in weak up and make stupid mistakes
for example deviljin …hit all time …he see a space and he hit this is very punishable
ramza necro have a decent space control but when have oponent near he have troubles …he not block and he look sooo frustrated vs ibuki

i think all player need understand more necro …not know soo much about necro tricks (like b.fierce stuff , tornado hook traps , jab depma tricks etc etc) and not understand about necro normals moves.
work in your timing and space control …
for xenozip …i see you and i think you only miskate (in this vid) is you atack in same time …maybe if you play vs a better necro i can make a more good evaluation

From what I’ve seen against the few Necro players I’ve actually played against (and watching Japanese vids), Necro gets owned by Ibuki’s pokes. You really shouldn’t fear moving in on Necro unless he has a stocked SA1 because he doesn’t have the pokes or threat of any kind of long range comfirm into the super. He gets hit by pretty much all of Ibuki’s pokes and doesn’t have a real reversal for Ibuki’s rush outside of SA1.

LOL. I meant to say of all of the characters he plays…Necro is definitely not his most skilled character. There are characters that he’s obviously better with. Which makes sense cuz Necro isn’t really a pick up and play character either. If you’re going to use Necro you might as well make him your main because of the long time it will take you to make him real competitive.

BTW that post you quoted me on was from a long time ago before I even knew that Necro could reverse anything she had. Hardly anyone plays Necro so there’s not much to go on with that. Necro actually does have solid pokes vs. Ibuki and it’s obvious by watching those videos. This is obviously playing against a Necro player who has expereince with Ibuki. Still doesn’t change the fact that Ibuki overall has a pretty clear offensive advantage over him. When she starts pinning him with attack strings there’s not much room for him to escape and most of Ibuki’s moves have strong frame advantage on block. Not to mention Ibuki’s EX dp is pretty much a free escape out of Necro’s rush.

Necro can lock her down for a bit but all it takes is one EX dp to get her in the clear vs. him. Necro (especially without SA1) has to be more patient with Ibuki’s rush game since he doesn’t have a true reversal for a lot of her moves. Not to mention Ibuki clearly outmaneuvers Necro in general. Once she gets a knockdown on him she can easily control the match and it’s not too difficult to jump in on him even when he’s standing. He clearly has to understand what Ibuki may try to do or she can close the gap easily.

As for tournament play…tournament play shows how well you can react under pressure and overall that improves your game during casuals. If you can react when shit is on the line then you’re not going to choke as much during casual games with the guys either. Knowing how to play under stress is key to improving your overall game. Especially when it comes to playing against characters/play styles you normally don’t have much experience against. If you can’t put together an offensive despite the lack of knowledge/comfort you’ll lose more often.

It’s true that in some ways tournament matches don’t always look quite as impressive as freestyle casual matches but if you can condition yourself in a tournament it makes your game that much better. Hence why the top players are able to do as well as they do in tournamnets. They understand the game and understand how to deal with pressure. Otherwise no one would play in tournaments. :lol:
