OMG! I just woke up. That is one long drive!
Well, this is Gabriel from Chicago. I was using Anakaris and Son Son with some other characters at the tournament.
I wanted to say that I had a lot of fun and I wanted to thank everyone who had kind words for me. It was really nice meeting some of you guys. (Especially some of the hotties :-P)
I was not too used to those types of joysticks and I was VERY tired, I would love to play some of you at an arcade machine in the future. But I’d like to thank Juston Wong, that guy from Virginia, the nice guy with the poker shirt and that white guy late on Saturday for letting me use their sticks. (snicker) I will be in New York City in a little over a month so if someone would give me information on where to stay and where to go I would appreciate it. They haven’t been uploaded yet man, be patient. Takes a while to transfer video from tapes onto your computer and then upload them.
3S teams had 57 entries (19 total teams) and singles had 53 entries, making it the biggest NEC to date. i want to thank everyone for coming out to keep the scene in the NE region alive. special thanks to eric for letting me handle 3S in its entirety this year, and definitely need to thank gavin for helping me run 3S. hopefully next year we can get some sort of equipment to accomodate the massive amount of players (as well as players playing multiple games) in terms of showing them what is going on with the brackets, team assignments, etc

unfortunately i don’t hold the brackets, so i can’t post who was on what teams. i scrubbed in at 4th
random teams was experimental this year…i normally hold it down in the MD/VA local tournies, but holding it at an annual does have issues (such as the forming of teams process). there is also the notion that some players wanted to play with their hometown teammates. i think next year we might revert in order to see how far players will have advanced in order to take out the strongest teams. but that in turn will drastically reduce entries, so we’ll see…
WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE to shout out to…everyone knows i love em, so ill keep it short. i wanna thank all the players who gave random teams a try. hope it was fun, sorry for the late startup and the regular printer paper handing out lol…but i don’t regret running it. it’s always been a fun format down here in MDVA and it was fun at NEC as well. i just hope everyone holds the same feelings. sorry cb ;p I HATE YOU JUSTIN! jk <3 good shit once again. ill try even harder next time

Wow my first nec and what can i say
(BTW THIS IS ALEX STRIFE I ran the DOA4 tournament)— thats right pity me lol j/k
IT was nice to see a lot of my casual friday peeps like Benny, Spooky (WHERES MY 3s LOL), ZTB, and everyone there. I never really saw most of these games played at such a high level so I was shocked to see most of the things I saw.
MVC2 - I used to hate on this game but WOW…the skill it takes to do the things Sanford and JWong do are simply scary. The crowd was loving it and I even got into it as well.
SC3 - My friends were in it and I watched everyone have good matches.
T5 - Wow…close matches at the end. I was rooting for Jinmaster ( he is my friend after all) and I felt soooo alone but no matter the turnout it was a great time for all.
DOA4 - people do not like the game that much but I can say the people who played it really got into it. I thank the 16 people who showed and hopefully everyone in DOAC can finally support it and not ruin it more then it is.
